Disney+ has ordered a second season of its animated short-form series and soundscape experience Zenimation . The streaming service also dropped some adorable first-look images of Baby Moana and Bambi. You can see below. Disney+ also set a July premiere for the series debut of Monsters At Work . The news was revealed during Disney+’s presentation Wednesday at the virtual TCA press tour. Season 2 of Zenimation is slated to premiere Friday, June 11. When the pandemic hit, Robert Pollard of Guided by Voices decided to go spelunking into his archives of unfinished songs and discarded demos from the last five to 10 years. “I was blown away that I had discarded them,” he tells Rolling Stone . “Anyway, I combined some of them and created new arrangements. Others I just left the way they were.” The result is Earth Man Blues , which Pollard calls “a collage of rejected songs” set for release on April 30th. The 74th Annual Tony Awards will be presented virtually this fall due to Covid-19 , Tony Award Productions and the American Theatre Wing announced on Friday. A date and platform for the ceremony will be announced soon along with final eligibility determinations for this year’s nominees. Broadway League president Charlotte St. Martin and American Theatre Wing president/CEO Heather Hitchens wrote in a statement: “Although unprecedented events cut the Broadway season short, it was a year full of extraordinary work that deserves to be recognized. We are thrilled not only to have found a way to properly celebrate our artists’ incredible achievements this season but also to be able to uplift the entire theatre community and show the world what makes our Broadway family so special at this difficult time.
