x 2019 is going to be a great year for moviegoers, no matter which genre they find themselves drawn to. There’s lots to look forward to and when it comes to films based on comic books in particular, folks will be truly spoiled. But if there’s one title above all others that probably has the most buzz surrounding it right now, it’s Avengers: Endgame. It’s probably not too much of a stretch to say that it’ll be the biggest hit of the year at least as far as box office numbers go, and will likely please both critics and fans alike, too. But just to help out the 3 (maybe 4) remaining people on planet Earth who still aren’t aware that the film’s coming, star Robert Downey Jr. hopped on Instagram this week to offer everyone a “gentle reminder.” The actor took to social media to share the recently released Endgame poster along with the following caption, ensuring that his fans know what’s headed their way. The Avengers: Endgame trailer has been out for over a week now and it features Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark lost in space. Worried Marvel Cinematic Universe fans started messaging NASA in order to make a plan to bring the fictional character back to Earth safely to join the rest of the Avengers to help take out Thanos. NASA responded and gave Marvel Studios some advice about bringing Stark home and now Robert Downey Jr. is responding to their plan. NASA says that Marvel Studios should have all their "ground teams" use "all resources" to scan the skies in an effort to locate Tony Stark, which the studio appreciated, sending a tweet in return. Now, Robert Downey Jr. has caught wind of the situation and also appreciates the friendly advice that NASA had to offer. He says, "Always good to know NASA has your back," which also prompted another response from NASA, noting that, "Failure is not an option." Obviously, this is all in good fun, but it's pretty amazing that NASA responded to the … [Read more...] about NASA’s Avengers: Endgame Tweet Gets a Response from Robert Downey Jr.
11 minutes ago Never mind Peter Parker: It's Tony Stark who doesn't feel so good in the first Avengers: Endgame trailer. Robert Downey Jr.'s character was shown adrift in space as he was about to run out of oxygen. NASA -- the NASA, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration -- unexpectedly jumped into the discussion with tweeted recommendations for Marvel on how to help Tony. Apparently it took a few days for that message to reach Robert Downey Jr. -- maybe he really was in space -- but Iron Man appreciated the support for his MCU hero: Yes, it has to be good to know NASA cared enough to weigh in on Tony Stark's fate. And they also quickly replied to Robert Downey Jr. with the famous Apollo 13 quote "Failure is not an option." Quick, someone make a supercut of Endgame and Apollo 13, with Ed Harris and the Apollo 13 crew trying to save Tony Stark! I know someone was fast on the draw to make an all-Deadpool Endgame trailer, but since NASA is clearly invested, let's … [Read more...] about Robert Downey Jr. Had The Best Response To NASA’s Avengers: Endgame Tweet

x The first Avengers: Endgame trailer gave the fans a lot to process, but perhaps the biggest question raised by the footage is how exactly Tony Stark is going to be saved from his lonely drift through space. The internet has suggested plenty of ways in which Iron Man’s salvation might come, but few have been more practical in their assessment of the situation than the team at NASA, and for their guidance, Robert Downey Jr. is most grateful. Earlier this month, NASA’s Twitter account offered a response to the recent teaser for the Avengers: Infinity War sequel, advising Marvel Studios on the ways they could locate their lost hero: “Hey @Marvel, we heard about Tony Stark. As we know, the first thing you should do is listen in mission control for ‘@Avengers, we have a problem.’ But if he can’t communicate, then we recommend ground teams use all resources to scan the skies for your missing man” The Marvel Twitter account replied at the time, … [Read more...] about Avengers: Endgame Star Robert Downey Jr. Responds To NASA’s Offer To Save Iron Man
