x The Flash season 5 returned after a month off last night for its eighteenth episode, “Godspeed,” which took a trip into the future and Nora’s past. Through flashbacks – or maybe flash-forwards? – we saw how Barry and Iris’ daughter discovered that she had super-speed when she encountered the supervillain Godspeed. From there, we found out how she first came into contact with Reverse-Flash, who she’s secretly been in cahoots with all season. With her father having gone missing when she was a child, Eobard Thawne is the only place Nora can get the answers she craves and the supervillain helps her by sending her to the Time Vault in the Flash museum. While there, Nora realizes that her father was the Flash and what really happened to him – the Scarlet Speedster disappeared in a huge, apocalyptic crisis that took place in 2024. This didn’t come as a surprise, as this has long been established on the show. What was a shock, … [Read more...] about The Flash Dropped A Major Crisis On Infinite Earths Tease Last Night
Reverse flash the flash season 5
The Flash instead of Matt Letscher. While Matt Letscher did reprise the role of Eobard Thawne during the second season of Legends of Tomorrow, Cavanagh, since the Crisis on Earth-X crossover and beyond, he’s the face we saw as the Reverse Flash. Even during his brief nightmare appearance in the Elseworlds event, Reverse Flash was Tom Cavanagh and not Matt Letscher. Why is that? In an interview with TV line, Flash showrunner Todd Helbing was asked about Eobard Thawne looking like Tom Cavanagh and if there was a reason Matt Letscher did not return. But it ties into the theme of the season: “We love Matt — he’s fantastic as Reverse-Flash, too. But it’s funny, if you plot out the Thawne timeline — I think there’s a version of this online somewhere — it makes more sense, logically, in a weird, time-travel way, that this is the Thawne that we see. Also, the whole theme of this season is … [Read more...] about ‘The Flash’ Showrunner Reveals Why Tom Cavanagh Currently Plays Eobard Thawne

x It’s traditional for The Flash‘s mid-season finales to leave us with a big game-changing twist that’ll mould the shape of the story when the show returns afters its winter break, and season 5’s no different. Due to next week’s episode forming part of the “Elseworlds” crossover, the series’ celebratory 100th episode also doubled up as the mid-season finale, and it left us with a whopper of a cliffhanger. Of course, we’re talking about the scene where having travelled back through her dad Barry Allen’s personal history in the episode, titled “What’s Past Is Prologue,” Nora West-Allen was revealed to be scanning coded pages from her diary through Gideon in the Time Vault. Clearly, she was up to no good. We then found out who she was sending them to when she follows up those messages by delivering something else in person. 7 minutes ago Major spoilers ahead for the 100th episode of The Flash, called "What's Past Is Prologue." The Flash has officially hit its milestone 100th episode, and unlike sister series Arrow, the big episode didn't fall in the middle of a gigantic crossover event. Instead, the majority of the episode was focused on Team Flash finding a way to stop Cicada, which meant finding a way to get rid of his power-draining dagger. Barry and Nora went on a quest through the past to put together the pieces of a dampener for the dagger, which sent them back to the eras of Savitar, Zoom, and Reverse-Flash, and new clues having to do with none other than Nora West-Allen may point toward Reverse-Flash rather than Cicada as the Season 4 big bad. Here's why. Barry spent a great deal of his and Nora's time in the past trying to keep Nora from coming face to face with Reverse-Flash, but they had no choice but to visit him after a piece of their device was smashed and Thawne was the only person … [Read more...] about Did The Flash Just Reveal Reverse-Flash As The Real Big Bad Of Season 5?
