Audio product names usually contain an esoteric combination of numbers and letters. It’s easy to sound like an audiophilic elitist when asking someone whether they prefer, say, the MKH 8060 or the MKH 8070. But in the case of the Sennheiser HD 400 PRO headphones , the product name is at least somewhat illustrative. PRO is not an acronym—these are professional-standard studio headphones. This means a few things. First, although you don’t need to be a professional engineer to consider buying a pair, the audio quality, depth and transparency of the 400 PROs will significantly upgrade your studio set-up. Second, the 400 PROs are designed to be used in the studio (or your closest equivalent) and not on the go. The attached cable has a 3.5 mm jack plug (and a 6.3 mm adapter), so there’s nothing to stop you using them elsewhere. But open ear cups are integral to the design, meaning these headphones are not equipped to block out background noise. Third, the 400 PROs are … [Read more...] about RS Recommends: Sennheiser’s HD 400 PRO Studio Headphones Make Sure What Goes In Is What Comes Out

Kevin Spacey’s ‘Sanitised’ Version of 1986 Sex Abuse Can’t End Lawsuit, Accuser Says
Anthony Rapp is pushing back against Kevin Spacey ’s recent demand that Rapp’s sex abuse lawsuit be terminated on the grounds that his alleged 1986 assault wasn’t serious enough to qualify for revival under the Child Victim’s Act. In a new court filing obtained by Rolling Stone , Rapp rejects Spacey’s March 4 assertion that the law “requires” a plaintiff to allege “squeezing, grabbing or pinching of a sexual or other intimate part” for sexual gratification or abuse in order to invoke the CVA and overcome an otherwise expired statute of limitations. Rapp and his lawyers argue in the new filing that Rapp’s “extensive testimony” claiming Spacey “grazed” and touched his buttocks while picking him up and putting him on a bed while he was a “14-year-old child” and the American Beauty actor was a 26-year-old “grown man” is enough to send the case to trial. As precedent, they cite two New York state cases where men were convicted of third-degree sex abuse for walking up to women … [Read more...] about Kevin Spacey’s ‘Sanitised’ Version of 1986 Sex Abuse Can’t End Lawsuit, Accuser Says

Songlines are essentially directions for travel held within Indigenous songs. Generations of First Nations people have memorised songs in order to reach certain destinations. Jack River’s guide to the NT is a little different—River is a New South Welsh indie-pop artist who got to know the NT while on tour. “Often when you’re touring it’s easy to stick to the plan and stay for a night and fly back home, but as soon as I got to Darwin I realised that there was this whole other world that I hadn’t been aware of in my own country,” River says. River was raised in Forster, NSW, on Worimi country, and now lives in Mollymook, NSW, on Yuin country. She visited Darwin for last year’s BASSINTHEGRASS Music Festival, appearing alongside the likes of Peking Duk, Violent Soho and Missy Higgins. What the Fuck Just Happened With Will Smith and Chris Rock?
In what may be the most insane moment in the history of the Academy Awards, Will Smith jumped onstage and smacked Chris Rock while the comedian was presenting the Best Documentary at the 2022 Oscars . The unscripted moment arrived after the comedian joked about Jada Pinkett Smith ’s hair loss, a symptom of alopecia. “Jada, love you, G.I. Jane 2 , can’t wait to see it,” Rock said, before the actress rolled her eyes. Will walked up to the stage, hit Rock, and returned to his seat. The sound was cut, but Smith yelled, “Keep my wife’s name out of your fucking mouth.” Rock told the audience, “Will Smith just smacked the shit out of me. It was a G.I. Jane joke. That was the greatest night in the history of television.” VIA JAPANESE TELEVISION: The uncensored exchange between Will Smith and Chris Rock pic.twitter.com/j0Z184ZyXa — Timothy Burke (@bubbaprog) March 28, 2022 Last December, Jada spoke about her alopecia on Instagram , writing, “Mama’s gonna have … [Read more...] about What the Fuck Just Happened With Will Smith and Chris Rock?
