Power Book II: Ghost received an early Season 4 renewal at Starz ahead of its third season premiere on March 17. Season 4 is currently in production in New York with the addition of Michael Ealy ( Barbershop , Takers ) who joins the cast in a series regular role. Ealy will portray Detective Don Carter, a rising NYPD officer who was on track to become Police Commissioner until his wife was killed in a crossfire between rival drug gangs. ‘Bridgerton’ Star Phoebe Dynevor Exits Netflix Series Ahead Of Season 3
Daphne Basset will join her husband off-screen as Phoebe Dynevor is exiting Netflix ’s hit series Bridgerton ahead of Season 3. Sources tell Deadline Dynevor has completed her contractual obligations. Dynevor revealed she would not appear in the new season in an interview at the Sundance Film Festival with Screenrant, saying she could pop up in a future season. The Duchess of Hastings appeared minimally in five episodes of Season 2. Regé-Jean Page, who played her husband the Duke of Hastings, exited the series after Season 1. Fox Entertainment & Hulu Ink New Deal For In-Season Streaming Rights To Network’s Shows
EXCLUSIVE: After lengthy negotiations, Fox Entertainment and Hulu have closed a new multi-year deal for in-season streaming rights to the broadcast network’s primetime series. The agreement also includes an extensive multi-platform marketing partnership. Under the pact, all Fox primetime entertainment programming – ranging from Family Guy and The Simpsons to The Cleaning Lady and new breakout drama The Accused to The Masked Singer and Next Level Chef — will continue to stream on the Disney-controlled Hulu the next day following their linear telecast. Additionally, the deal adds a new element — joint Fox and Hulu branding across all Fox marketing efforts for its programming on the network’s platforms and beyond as well as on Hulu. Rita Moreno Set For Artios Awards Career Honor; Yvette Nicole Brown To Host Ceremony
EGOT winner Rita Moreno will receive the Casting Society ’s career honor, the Lynn Stalmaster Award, at the 38th annual Artios Awards next month. The org also has set Yvette Nicole Brown to host the ceremony on March 9 at the Beverly Hilton. Moreno, whose 80 for Brady hits theaters Friday, scored an Academy Award nom last year for Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story after winning an Oscar for the 1961 original. She also received the Producers Guild’s Stanley Kramer Award in 2002. Those are among the latest accolades in a seven-decade career that began with her Broadway debut at 13. She has appeared in more than 40 feature films and countless TV series including most recently Norman Lear’s remake of One Day at a Time . Cindy Williams , who starred in the smash Happy Days spinoff Laverne & Shirley after appearing in George Lucas’ American Graffiti and Francis Ford Coppola’s The Conversation, has died. She was 75. Her family told the Associated Press today that the actress died Wednesday after a brief illness. “The passing of our kind, hilarious mother, Cindy Williams, has brought us insurmountable sadness that could never truly be expressed,” reads the statement from her children, Emily and Zak Hudson, relayed through a spokesperson. “Knowing and loving her has been our joy and privilege. She was one of a kind, beautiful, generous and possessed a brilliant sense of humor and a glittering spirit that everyone loved.” Williams played Shirley Feeney in Laverne & Shirley opposite Penny Marshall’s Laverne DeFazio. Barbarian producer BoulderLight Pictures has secured a multi-year first-look feature agreement with New Line Cinema , Deadline has confirmed. BoulderLight is a production company founded by J.D.
