A leaked trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past from the Fantasia International Film Festival is floating around. We found a link that works (for now!) Take a look before it’s taken down by the studio, which probably won’t take very long at all.In case the above video is dead, here’s a breakdown:The first part shows Professor X and Magneto telling Wolverine they need to send him back in time so he can help their past selves work “side by side to end this war before it ever begins.” Xavier tells Wolverine to be patient with his past self.We see returning characters including Mystique, Storm, Rogue, Beast, and Iceman, as well as a bunch of new ones. We also get a glimpse of what I think is Cerebro — I’m honestly so confused with the time travel and continuity of the movies that I don’t know if it’s been invented yet. We’ve also got urban unrest in what might be Russia, the X-Mansion, the White House. There’s also a lot of … [Read more...] about Catch the Leaked X-Men: Days of Future Past Trailer While It’s Still Leaked
Quicksilver days of future past
With just over a month to go until its May 23rd release, we’ve got the final trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past, and it’s got a whole lot of mutants, sentinels, plot, and explosions. It all looks pretty good, too, aside from Quicksilver’s hairpiece. Seriously, no one thought that maybe didn’t look right? Here’s a slightly different version, because the one above may be region locked for some areas (and because why wouldn’t you want to watch more trailers?):(via Geeks Are Sexy, image via X-Men Movies on YouTube)The Japanese opening for the 90s X-Men cartoon is better than oursThat Quicksilver biscuit commercial sure is… somethingHugh Jackman’s Les Mis parody Wolverine: The Musical is a timeless classic … [Read more...] about Old X-Men Meet Young X-Men in the Final Trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past
Marvel movies have trained their nerd audiences well; most of us will sit through the entire credit sequence of a film before we even think about getting up to leave the theater. Now it looks like Sony and Fox, AKA the reasons Wolverine and Spider-Man will never get to hang out with Tony Stark, are hoping to capitalize on that training. But before you get all excited at the possibility of Spidey/X-Men team-ups, cool your mechanical web shooters. The movies still have nothing to do with each other (which is probably for the best, considering that they’re both packed to the literal gills with extraneous villains and supporting characters). Rather, Sony and 20th Century Fox have agreed to enter into a mutually beneficial arrangement with one another that involves playing what’s essentially a post-movie trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past after the credits for Amazing Spider-Man 2 in both U.S. and U.K. theaters. This isn’t the first time such an … [Read more...] about Wait, Why Is Amazing Spider-Man 2 Getting a Post-Credit Sequence from Days of Future Past?
Director Bryan Singer posted an Instagram photo featuring Evan Peters just hanging out on set of X-Men: Apocalypse. Not actually trying to hate on a film we’ve not seen yet (some of the new cast have me very excited actually) but it was almost a resounding opinion that Peters’ Quicksilver was the highlight of X-Men: Days of Future Past so I’m glad to see he’ll get another cool scene to show off in.Singer also posted this the other day.(via Comics Alliance) —Please make note of The Mary Sue’s general comment policy.— Do you follow The Mary Sue on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, & Google +? … [Read more...] about Don’t Worry, Quicksilver Is Back as the Best Part of
Marvel’s Quicksilver may be out of commission, but he’s still very much alive in Fox’s X-Men movieverse, and his gotta-go-fast antics won’t be absent from the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse. Prepare for more timeless action sequences. After a quick clarification that Apocalypse won’t feature zombies—much to Peters’ disappointment—actor Evan Peters, who will reprise his role from Days of Future Past, explained to Details where we could expect Quicksilver’s story to go in the new movie: But the story is that my character is searching for his father and wants to find him. It starts there and then he jumps on the X-Men train and gets sucked up in this whole Apocalypse madness: He tries to stop him from destroying the world. [Ahem. Possible spoilers ahead. If you’re not too familiar with the character in comics, now might be a good time to, uh, cover your eyes and ears and tune out.]This should come as no great surprise to … [Read more...] about ‘s Evan Peters Gives Us a Taste of Quicksilver’s Role in
