Giuliani Says Trump Will Not Answer Questions About Obstruction: It’s a ‘No-Go’
President Donald Trump‘s lawyer Rudy Giuliani told the Associated Press that the president will not answer federal investigators questions about possible obstruction. According to the AP report, Giuliani said questions about whether or not the president tried to block the Russian probe are a “no-go.” “That’s a no-go. That is not going happen,” Giuliani told AP on Thursday. “There will be no questions at all on obstruction.” He also said that Trump’s lawyers were trying to limit follow-ups. “It would be in written form and if you want to follow up on our answers, justify it,” Giuliani said. “Show us why you didn’t get there the first time.” According to AP, “Giuliani’s statement was the most definitive rejection yet of special counsel Robert Mueller’s efforts to interview the president about any efforts to obstruct the investigation into possible coordination between his campaign … [Read more...] about Giuliani Says Trump Will Not Answer Questions About Obstruction: It’s a ‘No-Go’

Trump: ‘Disgraceful’ leak of Mueller Russia probe questions
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump said Tuesday it's "disgraceful" that a list of questions that the special counsel investigating Russian election interference wants to ask him was "leaked" to the news media. The New York Times late Monday published the nearly four dozen questions given to Trump's attorneys, covering Trump's motivations for firing FBI Director James Comey last May and contacts between Trump campaign officials and Russians."It is so disgraceful that the questions concerning the Russian Witch Hunt were 'leaked' to the media," Trump tweeted Tuesday. "No questions on Collusion. Oh, I see...you have a made up, phony crime, Collusion, that never existed, and an investigation begun with illegally leaked classified information. Nice!"In a second tweet, Trump said: "It would seem very hard to obstruct justice for a crime that never happened."But the questions do appear to indicate that Mueller is looking into possible collusion. Some touch on Russian meddling and … [Read more...] about Trump: ‘Disgraceful’ leak of Mueller Russia probe questions
Mueller Reportedly Questioning Russian Oligarchs on Whether They Funneled Campaign Cash to Trump
As Robert Mueller continues investigating, a trio of Russian oligarchs have apparently piqued the special counsel’s interest — as the months-long probe is now looking into whether these oligarchs funneled campaign cash to President Donald Trump. According to CNN, Mueller went so far as to have two of the oligarchs stopped at the airport during recent trips to the United States. The special counsel has reportedly made requests for documents and an interview from a third oligarch who has not recently visited the U.S. The CNN report, which cites multiple sources, says that one of the oligarchs actually had his electronic devices searched. Mueller is reportedly looking into whether these oligarchs funded the Trump campaign either directly or indirectly. CNN asked a former federal prosecutor, Daniel Goldman, to weigh in on the meaning behind Mueller’s aggressive tactics. “Prosecutors and investigators like the element of surprise when you can get more instinctive … [Read more...] about Mueller Reportedly Questioning Russian Oligarchs on Whether They Funneled Campaign Cash to Trump
