Netflix has set a March 23 premiere date for action thriller The Night Agent and released a slew of first-look images. See them below and watch a teaser above. Created and showrun by Shawn Ryan ( S.W.A.T., The Shield , the 10-episode drama stars Gabriel Basso as Peter Sutherland, a low-level FBI agent who works in the basement of the White House, manning an emergency hotline for American spies that never rings. Then a call comes in from a terrified civilian, Rose Larkin ( Luciane Buchanan ). Paramount and Prime Video have struck a Star Trek deal for the former’s international streamer outside Canada. Previous seasons of Star Trek: Picard and Star Trek: Lower Decks will feature on the streamer later this month, while the third and final season of Picard will premiere day and date with the U.S. in Latin America on February 16 and in the UK, Australia, Italy, France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland on February 17. South Korea will premiere at a later date. In addition to airing on Paramount+ , Picard will also stream on Prime Video outside of the U.S. and Canada, while in Canada it is available on Bell Media’s CTV Sci-Fi Channel and streams on Crave. Recent Grammy winner Bad Bunny , Christina Aguilera and Jeremy Pope will be honored at the 34th annual GLAAD Media Awards next month for advancing and supporting the LGBTQ community. The ill-fated Russell Westbrook era has ended for the Los Angeles Lakers . They’ve traded him to the Utah Jazz in a three-team deal, getting guard and former Laker D’Angelo Russell back from Minnesota. Utah is sending guard Mike Conley to the Timberwolves. The Lakers will also get Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt from Utah. Minnesota also will receive Nickeil Alexander-Walker and picks, and the Jazz will get Juan Toscano-Anderson and a coveted first-round draft pick from the Lakers. Westbrook may get a buyout from Utah in an effort to join a contending team. Westbook was acquired from the Washington Wizards in 2021 in hopes of creating a “Big Three” with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. They never jelled, and the Lakers missed the playoffs last season. Superstar Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant is on the move in a trade that will rattle the NBA and send oddsmakers scrambling to reset the odds. With a 3 PM NBA trade deadline looming on Thursday, the Nets agreed to trade superstar Durant to the Phoenix Suns . Durant is currently out with a sprained MCL, but is expected to return this month. The deal sends Durant and forward T.J. Warren to the Suns, with the Nets getting back Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder, four first-round picks and a 2028 pick swap. They’ll get unprotected picks in 2023, 2025, 2027 and 2029. The deal means Brooklyn is heading back into a long rebuild.
