Chicago Hit & Run Sees Several People Flung Into Air, Left for Dead

August 14, 2022 by www.tmz.com

Twitter / @ChicagoCritter A deeply disturbing hit-and-run was captured on dashcam in Chicago -- a crime that sent several bodies flying in the air ... and left the victims laid out helplessly on the pavement. Check out this video that surfaced online Sunday ... depicting what appears to be a relatively small crowd of people arguing/fighting in the street in the very early morning -- when, all of a sudden, a silver sedan comes zooming through the road and literally mows them down. WARNING: THIS VIDEO IS EXTREMELY GRAPHIC, SO WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK. Warning: Graphic video. #Chicago around 5 a.m. Sunday. Offender remains at large. pic.twitter.com/wa2ZNFW1FB — CWBChicago (@CWBChicago) August 14, 2022 @CWBChicago When the vehicle makes contact with the group ... you can see a few of the people get flung up into the air and land on the ground. Back in 2008, Hwang Dong-hyuk never imagined that his feature script, about a group of desperate people playing a game of life or death, would see the light of day. But a decade later, his idea for Squid Game was pitched as a series to Netflix, and much to his surprise, the thriller quickly turned into a global phenomenon with 1.65 billion views only four weeks after its launch. The milestones continue as Squid Game has crossed over successfully into awards season, culminating with a record 14 Emmy nominations, making it the first non-English language series up for Outstanding Drama Series. DEADLINE: Congratulations on all the Emmy nominations. They celebrate both the actors and the team behind the scenes, like production designer Chae Kyoung-sun, art director Gim En-jee, set decorator Kim Jeong-gon and editor Nam Na-young. HWANG DONG-HYUK : Yes, I’m very happy that, not only the show and the actors, but as you said, our behind-the-scenes crew members got … [Read more...] about ‘Squid Game’ Creator Hwang Dong-Hyuk On Breaking Hollywood’s Rules To Ignite A Global Phenomenon

August 14, 2022 by www.rollingstone.com

Perhaps inspired by their idol, former President Donald Trump , Jan. 6 rioters are trying to profit off their crimes in creative ways, including by selling personal memoirs, Jan. 6 merchandise and a riot-themed rap album, the Associated Press reported. One man prosecuted for his involvement in Jan. 6 released a rap album with a cover image of him sitting on a police car in front of the Capitol on the day of the attack. Court documents also show the individual, Antionne DeShaun Brodnax, in photos and videos taken inside the Capitol that day. The album contains “riot-themed songs,” according to the AP. Another rioter, hailing from Washington state, helped his father sell clothing and other goods with images of the Capitol and slogans such as “Our House” printed on them. Jeremy Grace and his father, Jeffrey Grace are both accused of participating in the Jan. 6 riot. “As recently as July and August 2021,” prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memo for the son, “Grace helped his … [Read more...] about Like Their Cult Leader, Jan. 6 Rioters Try to Cash in on Attempts to Destroy Democracy
