Kanye West is being weird again. In the aftermath of Kim Kardashian’s split from Pete Davidson , the rapper has regressed back to the same social media bullying he enacted when the pair first started dating. This time, West took to Instagram to share a photoshopped New York Times front page that reads: “Skete Davidson Dead at 28.” An optimistic take on the morbid headline would be that with Skete Davidson dead and gone, West’s relentless mocking of Pete Davidson could finally come to an end. But the small print underneath the bold text doesn’t suggest that any kind of a friendship awaits on the horizon for West and Davidson — or their shared link Kid Cudi. “Kid Cudi meant to play funeral but fearful of bottle throwers,” the subscript reads, mocking the artist’s recent departure from Rolling Loud mid-set. After West pulled out of a headlining slot at the last minute, Cudi was tapped to perform at the festival, only to be taunted and harassed by audience members who had hoped to … [Read more...] about Kanye West Declares ‘Skete Davidson Dead’ After Comedian’s Split from Kim Kardashian, Mocks Kid Cudi Rolling Loud Incident

EXCLUSIVE : Daniel Brühl ( Inglourious Basterds ) has signed on to star alongside Paul Bettany and Jeremy Pope in the upcoming Warhol-Basquiat film The Collaboration , based on the acclaimed play by four-time Oscar nominee Anthony McCarten , which heads into production in Boston in September. The Collaboration revolves around the relationship between the two iconic artists, starting in the summer of 1984. International superstar Andy Warhol (Bettany) and the art scene’s newest wunderkind, Jean-Michel Basquiat (Pope), agree to work together on what may be the most talked about exhibition in the history of modern art. Gallery Launch Gallery Kanye didn't include a caption or anything further, but you can only really assume it's to celebrate Kim and Pete's split ... news that broke last week. ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ Trial Ends; Will Warner Bros Or Universal Cast Magic Sequel Spell?
The legal battle over whether production company Sweetpea Entertainment or toy giant Hasbro owns sequel rights to Dungeons & Dragons came has come to an end — at least for now. But the seven-day trial that wrapped late Tuesday in federal court in downtown LA did not end quietly. “Hasbro cannot have it both ways,” attorney Patricia Glaser said in her closing statement, calling out the company for disputing a 2010 D&D movie sequel but not a 2005 one and dragging her client, Sweetpea and its owner Courtney Solomon, into court. Noting the “tentpole opportunity” the production company has with Warner Bros , Glaser added, “only Sweetpea, not Hasbro, has the right to make a movie with Dungeons & Dragons as its primary title.” Of course Hasbro sees it differently, which is why they rolled the dice with its initial complaint last May . “Hasbro has a right to begin to make movies of its own based on the property,” said lawyer Jeremy Goldman in his closing before … [Read more...] about ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ Trial Ends; Will Warner Bros Or Universal Cast Magic Sequel Spell?

Olivia Newton-John Battles Back
A story idea from our London correspondent, circa 1975: Olivia Newton-John . You are going to have to face this subject sooner or later. But this is a story that definitely should not be question-and-answer style, since Olivia in person is quite boring. She has virtually nothing to say. One of my friends took her out once, and even then she had nothing to say. Olivia could understand. “I feel it must be strange for you interviewing me,” she said between shows at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas, “because I must be so alien to the paper. When I found out I was doing the interview, I thought, ‘Why the hell would. They want to talk to me ?’ I’m so out of everything the magazine seems to represent.” Lee Kramer, Olivia’s manager and longtime lover, had okayed the interview, but not before making a request that Rolling Stone be gentle with her. “She’s keen to sit down with any members of the press,” he said in our first telephone conversation. “But sometimes they come to take … [Read more...] about Olivia Newton-John Battles Back
Actresses Speak Up After ‘GOT’ Star Sean Bean Decries Intimacy Coordinators On Set
Sean Bean , who played Ned Stark on Game of Thrones , told the Times of London Sunday Magazine that he is not a fan of intimacy coordinators because he fears they would “spoil the spontaneity” of intimate scenes. “I think the natural way lovers behave would be ruined by someone bringing it right down to a technical exercise,” he said . “It would inhibit me more because it’s drawing attention to things.” Shortly after Bean’s words began to circulate online several prominent actresses, including his Snowpiercer co-star Lena Hall , offered a very different perspective. West Side Story breakout Rachel Zegler — who has noted in the past that she was 17 when she shot love scenes with her then-25-year-old co-star Ansel Elgort for that film — tweeted: “intimacy coordinators establish an environment of safety for actors. i was extremely grateful for the one we had on WSS— they showed grace to a newcomer like myself + educated those around me who’ve had years of … [Read more...] about Actresses Speak Up After ‘GOT’ Star Sean Bean Decries Intimacy Coordinators On Set

Remy to Rumble: Fetty Wap and His Crew Conquer America
Fetty Wap, all of 24 years old, uploaded a song to SoundCloud in April of 2014 and it just, well, stuck around. “Trap Queen” — currently in its 34th week on the Hot 100 — continues to define pop ubiquity, blasting from car speakers in the middle of the day, getting requests at the club that night. The rapper, born Willie Maxwell, is at the Pepsi Center in Denver — far from his home in Paterson, New Jersey. He’s opening for Chris Brown near the tail end of a month-long, countrywide jaunt, but that’s just the tip of his celebrity: Kanye West was an early Fetty Wap supporter; Drake contributed a verse to the remix for his third hit, “My Way”; Taylor Swift covered “Trap Queen” with the rapper in Seattle. However, when Fetty Wap dropped the track list to his self-titled debut album — due out September 25th — A-list names were conspicuously absent. “I didn’t have no features on ‘Trap Queen.’ It was just me,” says Fetty on his tour bus in the shadow of the venue. He’s having his braids … [Read more...] about Remy to Rumble: Fetty Wap and His Crew Conquer America
