Terry Moore , the 94-year old Oscar nominated actress ( Come Back, Little Sheba ) will attend the US premiere of her new biopic Silent Life: The Story of the Lady In Black at the Sedona International Film Festival on Feb 19. Directed by Vladislav Alex Kozlov , and written by Kozlov and Ksenia Jarova, Moore, stars in the film alongside Isabella Rossellini ( Blue Velvet ),  Franco Nero ( Django ), Sherilyn Fenn ( Twin Peaks ), Paul Rodriguez ( Clifford ) and Monte Markham ( Dallas ). Melinda Dillon , a two-time Oscar nominee for Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Absence of Malice who also played Ralphie’s mom in A Christmas Story , has died. She was 83. Her family said she died January 9 in Los Angeles but did not give other details. Dillon probably is best known for playing a mother whose young son is abducted by the aliens in Steven Spielberg’s 1977 epic Close Encounters of the Third Kind. She and Roy (Richard Dreyfuss) inexplicably are drawn to Devils Tower in Wyoming as they struggle to make sense of what has happened to them. She earned a Supporting Actress Oscar nom for the role. In her forthcoming documentary about her life and long career, Brooke Shields describes in detail an assault she experienced at the hands of somebody she terms “an industry insider”. The actress and author tells how she was in her early 20s when she met the man – someone she considered a friend – for dinner, then went to his hotel room to order a cab home while he left the room. Soon, she describes, he returned to the room where he attacked her. “He was right on me. It was just like wrestling,” she says, and adds that, at the time, she blamed herself for drinking wine and going to his room. Ben Stiller is setting an acting return with Three Identical Strangers , a high-profile limited series package that just hit the premium/streaming marketplace. Stiller is in final negotiations to headline and executive produce the series, a multi-decade family drama inspired by the incredible true story of identical triplet brothers separated at birth. NEON , which already made waves at the Sundance Film Festival when 30WEST announced it was acquiring a majority stake in the upstart distributor , has just acquired domestic rights to Monsters And Men . The drama written and directed by first-timer Reinaldo Marcus Green bowed Friday in the U.S. Dramatic Competition section. The deal was negotiated by the company and Endeavor Content on behalf of the filmmakers. Terms were not disclosed. The plot interweaves the story of what happens in the aftermath of a police shooting in Brooklyn’s Bed-Stuy neighborhood told through the eyes of the bystander who filmed the act, a black police officer and a high school baseball phenom inspired to take a stand, showing the impact of racism and violence on a community.
