‘Bridgerton’ Star Phoebe Dynevor Exits Netflix Series Ahead Of Season 3

Daphne Basset will join her husband off-screen as Phoebe Dynevor is exiting Netflix ’s hit series Bridgerton ahead of Season 3. Sources tell Deadline Dynevor has completed her contractual obligations. Dynevor revealed she would not appear in the new season in an interview at the Sundance Film Festival with Screenrant, saying she could pop up in a future season. The Duchess of Hastings appeared minimally in five episodes of Season 2. Regé-Jean Page, who played her husband the Duke of Hastings, exited the series after Season 1. Season 3 of Bridgerton will find Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) as she’s finally given up her crush on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) after hearing him disparage her to his friends last season. Instead, she’s focusing on finding a husband who will respect her independence so she may continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, away from her mother and sisters. Written and directed by Chloe Domont, Fair Play follows a couple’s descent into the depths of hell all over a job promotion. The film stars Phoebe Dynevor , Alden Ehrenreich and Eddie Marsan. Fair Play starts at a party where patrons are jamming to Donna Summer. At the center of it all is Emily (Dynevor) smoking a cigarette. She’s in a relationship with Luke (Ehrenreich) and he steals her away for a quickie. However, they quickly realize she has started her period. In the melee of trying to clean up,  a ring drops out of his pocket to the ground which Emily discovers. He was going to surprise her with a marriage proposal, one that she promptly says yes to. They both work in the same office and have the same corporate job in finance. UPDATED WITH MORE DETAILS EXCLUSIVE : The Sundance Film Festival’s first splashy deal is on the verge of closing a whopping deal for Fair Play , the Chloe Domont -directed drama that has electrified the fest since its January 20 premiere in the U.S. Dramatic Competition. I’m hearing deal is world rights in the $20 million range. The film is the first to come out of the association between MRC and T-Street’s Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman, designed to hatch vehicles with emerging talent. The Sundance Film Festival has begun unveiling its Jury and Audience Award winners for 2023. Jurors present for the announcement, livestreamed to the festival’s social media channels from The Ray Theatre in Park City, Utah, included Jeremy O. It may have been in the single digits in snowy Park City for this year’s Sundance Film Festival , but deals defrosted at the first in-person festival since 2020. Movies came in with distribution in place, others saw heated late-night auctions with tens of millions of dollars mobilized, and more sales are yet to come. The film that won the Sundance dramatic Grand Jury Prize, A.V. Rockwell’s A Thousand and One , arrived at the festival under the comforting wing of Focus Features. For others that chose to wait, it really paid off.
