DAWSON'S Creek star James Van Der Beek, 41, has become a dad for the fifth time as he welcomes a baby girl "in time for Father's Day". The American actor shared a beautiful set of pictures of his children in an Instagram post where he also praised his wife Kimberly as a "f*****g earth goddess rock star". He revealed baby Gwendolyn arrived on Friday morning at their home with the assistance of a doctor and midwife. The couple already have four children together - Olivia, seven, Joshua, five, Annabel Leah, four, and Emilia, 23 months. James told his 431k followers he was "thrilled" to be a dad again, but used his post to speak out about immigration laws in the US. He expressed his anger towards President Donald Trump and his border wall he plans to build between the States and Mexico to not let immigrants enter the country. Alongside photos of his family and the new addition and one of him topless carrying the newborn, he wrote: "Thrilled to announce we welcomed a … [Read more...] about Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek, 41, becomes dad for fifth time as he welcomes girl ‘in time for Father’s Day’

7 minutes ago FX's new drama Pose spends a lot of time on focusing on the ballroom culture in 1987 Harlem, but there's also a portion of the story dedicated to our nation's current President. Specifically, two of the show's characters, Evan Peters' Stan Bowes and James Van Der Beek's Matt Bromley, are big-time businessmen hard at work within Trump Tower. That wasn't how it always was set up, however, as co-creator Ryan Murphy revealed Van Der Beek wasn't just going to be a boss in Trump Tower, but the building's biggest boss, as he was originally meant to play a young Donald Trump. Ryan Murphy and co-creator Brad Falchuk decided to pull Donald Trump out of Pose as a main character to prevent taking audiences out of the events of the show. It would have been easier to bring Trump in as a character had he not won the 2016 election, but with him leading the country and inspiring real-world headline after headline, Pose's creative team soundly chose to go with an alternate idea. … [Read more...] about James Van Der Beek Was Originally Going To Play Young Donald Trump On FX’s Pose

Like the “Catheter Cowboy” commercials he buys airtime for in an attempt to get Donald Trump to listen to reason. In last night’s episode of Last Week Tonight, Oliver delved into the Iran Nuclear Deal, aka the next way Trump might try to murder us all. He laid out a very basic history of the relationship between Iran and the U.S., making it clear that this is a “ludicrously brief recap.” Given the depth of that history, that’s all he had time for. Of course, he also had time for a gag imagining a fake podcast about Iran, co-hosted by James Van Der Beek. And honestly, the time spent on this bit was beyond worth … [Read more...] about Things We Saw Today: Why Can’t This Fake John Oliver/James Van Der Beek Podcast About Iranian Politics Be Real?
John Oliver once again went after Trump and his administration on Sunday's Last Week Tonight. Among this week's topics: Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke, the Iran nuclear deal and the FBI raid on Trump's longtime attorney Michael Cohen. He also played part of a podcast parody he joked he was launching with James Van Der Beek called Talkin' Tehran. The audio bit featured the real voice of Van Der Beek as the two got into a heated exchange. "If you didn't think that James Van Der Beek was an expert in Iranian history, you need to expand your expectations of what people are capable of," Oliver quipped.
