Matthew Vaughn, who directed the first Kick-Ass movie back in 2010, has revealed that there are now plans to reboot the series, with his production company Marv back at the helm. There's no word yet on when these movies will release, how similar they will be to the previous movies, or who will star, but nonetheless, it's enough to get comic book fans excited. Kick-Ass was Matthew Vaughn's big break back in 2010 which kick-started his career in the superhero movie industry. The success of Kick-Ass landed him his job as the director of X-Men: First Class , and writer of X-Men: Days of Future Past . Matthew Vaughn then went on to work on his currently most memorable projects, Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle . This is a Ted Lasso-type feel-good moment, as 2 cops saved a dog that fell in icy waters. The rescue went down Thursday in the village of Manteno, Illinois, when the PD got a call, "There's a big dog in the water about four houses down." That canine's a lucky dog, thanks to officers Quincey Spears and Jessica Rourke , who answered the call and sprung into action. They got a paddleboat to get near the struggling K-9, using a pole to help reach the dog, to no avail. So, their only remaining option was to jump in the frigid water, along with a few good Samaritans, to save the pooch. Officer Spears explained what happened ...  "When he was walking on the ice, he went into a spot where the sun was beating down on the ice, and it actually potentially melted that part of the ice, which the dog fell in." Country music singer Rita Wilson has marked the anniversary of her and husband Tom Hanks contracting Covid-19 with a heartfelt Instagram post. The two were among the first high-profile Hollywood stars to publicly come out with their positive diagnosis. “One year ago today I was playing the Sydney Opera House @sydneyoperahouse , the next day started feeling very tired and achy, two days later hospitalized with Covid 19,” Wilson wrote. The two revealed their diagnosis on March 11 of last year. Wilson wrote that the couple were “thankful for the medical care we got in Queensland,” adding, “We share in the sorrow of each person who lost a loved one to this virus. I’m hopeful for so many being able to get the vaccine.” The family has done more than post on social media. Both Wilson and Hanks volunteered to donate blood for Covid-19 research after recovering from the disease.
