EXCLUSIVE : Eon Productions and MGM have set distribution plans for James Bond 25 . The most hotly sought after film franchise in recent memory has been won by Universal Pictures for international as well as for home entertainment, sources said. Domestic distribution will be handled by MGM and Annapurna through the joint venture they signed last year. The 25th installment of James Bond will first be released in the UK on October 25, 2019, and in the U.S. on November 8, 2019. Production begins December 3. The deal was just closed by EON’s Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli , MGM chairman of the board of directors Kevin Ulrich , MGM Motion Pictures Group president Jon Glickman and Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley. EXCLUSIVE: Deadline has learned that two-time Oscar-nominated filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan has exited WME , the agency he’s been at since 2011 . The director recently had his seventh No. 1 opening at the box office this past weekend with Universal’s Knock at the Cabin . The film debuted to $14.1 million domestic, $21M worldwide off a thrifty $20M production cost. Shyamalan’s former WME agents Tanya Cohen and Rich Cook went over to Range Media Partners to become managers, and the $3.3 billion-grossing filmmaker followed them in April 2021. This happens in the business — clients go where their working relationships are. Cook is a Range co-founder. Range also represents Shyamalan’s production company, Blinding Edge Pictures, run by president of production Ashwin Rajan. EXCLUSIVE: Anonymous Content has closed a first-look deal with Theresa Park ’s film and TV banner Per Capita Productions . Park’s Per Capita Productions is focused an auteur-driven, independent films, primarily based on literary material. Most recently, Park produced Luca Guadagnino’s Bones and All starring Timothée Chalamet, Taylor Russell and Mark Rylance. The movie has been nominated for 2023 Independent Spirit Awards for Best Feature Film, Best Lead Performance and Best Supporting Performance; received two acting nominations from the Gotham Awards; and won the Silver Lion at Venice for Best Director; and Best New Talent for Russell.
