New show jeremy clarkson
MOTORMOUTH Jeremy Clarkson takes the wheel of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? tomorrow night – and he is terrified. The Sun columnist is at the helm of the epic game show for its week-long revival to celebrate its 20th anniversary. It is a significant departure from his usual car-based antics with Richard Hammond and James May on Amazon’s The Grand Tour. Jeremy will be asking contestants multiple-choice questions as they bid to take home the £1million jackpot. Their prize money increases with every question and they can cash out at any stage. But while they have previously relied only on their own knowledge and three lifelines — Phone A Friend, 50/50 and Ask The Audience — to see them home, they can now Ask The Host, too. Unfortunately, the host is already feeling the pressure. Jeremy, 58, said: “I was doing a run-through with friends the other day, desperately trying to practice, and it got to Ask The Host. “I’m fairly sure I knew and I … [Read more...] about Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host Jeremy Clarkson on the pressure of taking over the hit show’s hot-seat
WHO Wants To Be A Millionaire might be 20 years old but ITV is breathing new life into the series by introducing a lifeline — Ask The Host. The rebooted gameshow, which starts on Saturday, will allow contestants to probe new host Jeremy Clarkson, for help with an answer. The existing lifelines Phone A Friend, Ask The Audience and 50:50 remain in place. A telly source said of the Top Gear host: “Bosses think that the new twist will add a fun dimension to the show and viewers will enjoy seeing Jeremy squirming as he is put on the spot. “He won’t be wearing an in-ear speaker or be able to see the answers, so it’ll be using his genuine general knowledge. “He’s a bit worried as he could be the reason that someone goes home without anything.” Another new dimension I can reveal is producers will allow contestants to bank their prize money when they want after amassing at least £1,000, rather than at set £1,000 and £32,000 marks. … [Read more...] about Who Wants To Be A Millionaire reboot will allow contestants to probe Jeremy Clarkson

JEREMY Clarkson races around in a sports car before appearing in the iconic Who Wants To Be A Millionaire studio in the first look at the reboot. The Grand Tour host calmly talks up the new seven-episode series from behind the wheel of an Aston Martin DB11, using words that could equally relate to race car driving. Above the screech of the tyres, Jeremy says: "There really is nothing quite like it. It's exciting, invigorating, with every second you get more and more engrossed. One wrong move it's all over. "But with one final daredevil lunge it could change your life." Jeremy reappears in the chair made famous by original host Chris Tarrant as the camera pans out to reveal the rest of the studio. The voiceover then says: "Same seat, different driver."
