New research on lung cancer

New York Dolls guitarist Sylvain Sylvain revealed that he has been battling cancer for the past year and has launched a GoFundMe to help pay for an upcoming surgery and recovery. Sylvain didn’t offer many details about the cancer, but said he hoped his upcoming surgery would “do the trick.” As of publication, Sylvain’s campaign has raised over $33,000 out of its $80,000 goal. A note on the GoFundMe page said the money “will be of great assistance in getting [Sylvain] back on his feet.” Sylvain also shared a statement, acknowledging why he hasn’t been active on social media, releasing new music or on the road in support of his new book, There’s No Bones in Ice Cream . “First the bad news,” he said. “For about a year now, I have been battling cancer. One of the most talented and reputed actors of Hollywood might have gotten into trouble for his behavior during the recent award ceremony. The American Lung Association which witnessed Leonardo DiCaprio smoking vape at SAG awards, considers his habit to be 'Deeply Troubling'! Who frontman Roger Daltrey says the inevitability of a new record by the band isn’t so much a question of “when” as it is “whether.” Speaking to the NME, he said that both he and guitarist Pete Townshend have the makings of a new LP should they choose to rise to the occasion. “Pete’s got hundreds of songs so the only question is whether we get around to it,” the vocalist said. “But he wants to make an album and I’m always ready and raring to go. We’ll see.” Regarding his hesitation, Daltrey said, “I never know what I’m doing next, it’s about what comes through my letterbox tomorrow, but I don’t see why we wouldn’t.
