Alan Partridge Live: Stratagem toured the UK and Ireland this April and May, 14 years after the Coogan alter ego’s last live tour. The Phil McIntyre Live Ltd and Baby Cow Productions production was filmed when the show played London’s O2 Arena last month. Coogan ( Philomena) introduced the character Alan Partridge as a parody of a certain type of bumptious, British television personality in 1991 in the BBC Radio 4 spoof current affairs show On the Hour , featured as its sports correspondent. Longtime friends and collaborators Antonio Banderas and Andrew Lloyd Webber are joining forces under the banner of new company Amigos Para Siempre (APS), aimed at producing theatre, musicals and live entertainment shows, including some of Webber’s best-loved works, for major Spanish-speaking markets. Under the initiative, Spanish-language rights to Webber’s shows will be ceded to the new company by the UK composer’s London-based company Really Useful Group. Shows earmarked for Spanish adaptations include The Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard, Starlight Express, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Cinderella, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and School of Rock. A federal grand jury in the Southern District of New York has subpoenaed board members of the company looking to merge with former President Donald Trump’s social-media company Truth Social . Blank-check firm Digital World Acquisition Corp (DWAC) revealed on Monday that all seven of its board members have been asked for documents related to a Securities and Exchange Commission inquiry filed against the firm last year . The planned SPAC merger , now being threatened by multiple federal investigations, would allow the company to access billions of dollars in public markets.
