EXCLUSIVE : LA-based sales firm Film Bridge International has sold shark survival pic The Requin to Reset Collective (Australia/New Zealand), YouPlanet (Spain), Mediawan (France), Monolith (Poland), Purple Plan (SE Asia), Blitz Film Group (Ex-Yugo), and Blue Lantern (Vietnam). Starring Alicia Silverstone ( Clueless ) and James Tupper ( Big Little Lies ), the film is slated for delivery in June, 2021. We can also reveal a first look image from the movie. Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu Rolls Cameras On First Movie Since ‘The Revenant’
Alejandro G. Iñárritu is underway on his first feature in the director’s chair since he won three Oscars for The Revenant. The Los Angeles Times reported that the new project has rolled cameras in Iñárritu’s hometown of Mexico City and that it is going under the title Limbo . The Spanish-language movie is being led by Daniel Giménez Cacho, the Mexican actor who starred in Lucrecia Martel’s Zama . Story details are unknown as of yet but it is understood to be a form of fable exploring the political and social modernity of Mexico. Crew include the Oscar-winning production designer Eugenio Caballero ( Pan’s Labyrinth ) and DoP Darius Khondji ( Seven ). John “Bud” Cardos, Stuntman, Animal Wrangler and Director, Dies at 91
A jack of all trades, he worked on lots of exploitation films, often with B-movie maestro Al Adamson. John "Bud" Cardos, a stuntman, animal wrangler and director of films including The Red, White and Black , Kingdom of the Spiders and The Dark , has died. He was 91. Cardos died in his sleep Thursday at his home in Acton, California, where he had a horse ranch, fellow stuntman Gary Kent told The Hollywood Reporter . Cardos was an actor and stuntman for director Al Adamson on such exploitation films as Blood of Dracula's Castle (1969), Satan's Sadists (1969), Five Bloody Graves (1969), The Female Bunch (1971), Black Samurai (1976) and Death Dimension (1978). After Sam Peckinpah hired him to do stunts and serve as his second unit director on The Wild Bunch (1969), Cardos made his directorial debut with The Red, White and Black (1970), a Western featuring Rafer Johnson, Isabel Sanford and Barbara Hale .
