New movie trailers this week

The first trailer for the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot has arrived and it didn't necessarily blow anyone's socks off. This is just a Lara Croft teaser , but this may not be the movie that winds up saving video game movies in Hollywood. The movie does, however, clearly take into consideration that many people aren't a fan of movies ignoring the story of the games. In this case, the Tomb Raider trailer is essentially one giant Easter egg for the 2013 Tomb Raider video game. IGN decided to do a side-by-side comparison between the new Tomb Raider teaser trailer and some of the comparable game footage from the 2013 Tomb Raider game, which served as a reboot of the game series. Warner Bros. has released the second trailer for their highly-anticipated Tomb Raider reboot, which hits theaters in just under two months. This trailer comes just a month after we saw new photos of Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft , along with Daniel Wu's Lu Ren, and nearly four months since the first footage arrived. With the March 16 release date getting closer and closer, hopefully this trailer is just the first of much more footage to be released in the next two months. Lara Croft is the fiercely independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer who vanished when she was scarcely a teen. Now a young woman of 21 without any real focus or purpose, Lara navigates the chaotic streets of trendy East London as a bike courier, barely making the rent, and takes college courses, rarely making it to class. Workaholics will return with an all-new movie on Paramount+. On Thursday, several major announcements were made about the new streaming service's upcoming content which includes revivals and reboots of several fan favorite TV shows from years past. The news also brought along the reveal that the streamer will exclusively host a new Workaholics movie with returning cast members Blake Anderson, Adam Devine, Anders Holm, and Kyle Newacheck. Running on Comedy Central for seven seasons, Workaholics was on the air from 2011 to 2017. Its cast is also behind most of the writing and creative direction of the series. The show follows a group of college dropouts and roommates who all work together at a telemarketing company in California. They often clash with co-workers and each other as they've never quite grown out of partying, drinking, smoking pot, and pulling pranks. During the AFC and NFC Championship Games yesterday, Warner Bros. debuted two new TV spots for the highly-anticipated Tomb Raider , which hits theaters nationwide on March 16. These TV spots showcase the origin adventure undertaken by a young Lara Croft, played by Oscar winner Alicia Vikander, with footage highlighting her meeting with the villain Mathias Vogel (Walton Goggins). He claims to see several distinct qualities of her missing father in Lara herself, such as his intelligence and recklessness. One video also includes a scene where Lara admits that she's not a "superhero," although some of her death-defying actions say otherwise. While this video game franchise has been around since 1996, this movie will be based on the video game reboot that launched in 2013, and followed a much younger Lara Croft as she goes on her first ever adventure, to find her missing father , who has been gone since she was a teenager. Spiderman star Tom Holland, and his FoS [Friends of Spiderman], Ned aka Jacob Batalaon and MJ aka Zendaya today posted three different stills from the third installment of MCU's Spiderman . But that's not it; the cast members took a dig at the fan speculations and revealed the title(s) for Spider-Man 3 . But probably, it's just a joke. The three titles Tom Holland , Zendaya, and Jacob revealed are Spiderman: Phone Home, Spiderman: Home Slice, Spiderman: Home Wrecker respectively.
