Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata is running with average numbers in the theatres across the two Telugu states. ‘This Is Us’ Opens To Strong Ratings, ‘Bull’ Solid As Newbies Continue To Impress
Snapshot (updated with finals) : New series premieres: This Is Us (2.8 in 18-49, 10 million), Bull (2.2, 15.6 million); Returning series premieres all down; NBC’s The Voice (3.4 in 18-49) and CBS’ NCIS (16.0 million viewers) top night. The 100 million-plus views for the trailer of This Is Us translated into eyeballs for the premiere of the NBC dramedy from Dan Fogelman, which opened with a 2.8 in adults 18-49 and 10 million viewers at 10 PM. It was one of two solid series debuts last night, along with CBS’ Bull (2.2 in 18-49, 15.4 million). This is not something we are used to seeing in recent years — two days into the season, we don’t have a single flop, with two consecutive nights of solid new series openers , all logging a 2+ Live+Same Day demo rating, which is considered impressive these days. They all came courtesy of CBS ( Kevin Can Wait, Bull ) and NBC ( The Good Place, This Is Us ). And the streak may continue tonight with ABC’s Designated … [Read more...] about ‘This Is Us’ Opens To Strong Ratings, ‘Bull’ Solid As Newbies Continue To Impress
‘Kevin Can Wait’ & ‘The Good Place’ Off To Solid Ratings Start As TV Season Begins
Snapshot, updated with final numbers: New series premieres: Kevin Can Wait (2.6 in 18-49), The Good Place (2.6 at 10 PM, 2.0 at 10:30 PM, preview); Returning series premieres all down, CBS’ The Big Bang Theory (3.8, -19%, 15.8 million) tops night. With little fanfare, the broadcast networks are kicking off another season, bracing for another decline in Live+Same Day linear ratings, projected to be around -6%, in line with the year-to-year slippage last fall. The declines were steeper for TV’s biggest comedy, CBS’ The Big Bang Theory, which is showing its age, opening its 10th season — last under the current deal with CBS — with a 3.6 adults 18-49 rating and 15.4 million viewers in the fast nationals. That is down 23% in the demo and 15% in viewers from the Season 9 opener and the lowest 18-49 premiere number since the comedy’s sophomore season. Still, indicating how much broadcast Live+SD ratings have eroded since then, Big Bang, whose L+SD result will likely be … [Read more...] about ‘Kevin Can Wait’ & ‘The Good Place’ Off To Solid Ratings Start As TV Season Begins
Tate McRae on Imposter Syndrome and the Morality of TikTok
If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, Rolling Stone may receive an affiliate commission. “Sometimes singing scares the hell out of me.” Tate McRae is down to keep pushing her limits and challenging herself, and teaming up with Sony was just the first step. McRae is celebrating the release of the new LinkBuds S and WH-1000XM5 headphones with Sony Electronics, who recently hosted an exclusive, in-flight listening session for her upcoming album , I Used to Think I Could Fly. The new audio lineup might just give the AirPod Max a run for their money, which promises more spatial, immersive sound quality, and updated processors that take a swing at enhancing the already industry-standard noise-cancellation. And McRae would know — she’s had them on since coming back from hitting the road on her world tour. Buy: Sony LinkBuds S at $198.00 But it wasn’t always like this. The artist’s first hit single “you … [Read more...] about Tate McRae on Imposter Syndrome and the Morality of TikTok
Kate Moss Says Johnny Depp ‘Never Pushed’ Her Down Stairs During Amber Heard Trial
Kate Moss took the stand Wednesday in the $50 million defamation trial between Depp and his ex-wife, Amber Heard to deny that her ex-boyfriend Depp ever assaulted her during their four-year relationship. During her video testimony, the model recalled an incident that occurred during a trip to Jamaica with Depp. “We were leaving the room and Johnny left the room before I did. There had been a rainstorm, and as I left the room, I slid down the stairs and I hurt my back,” she said. “And I screamed because I didn’t know what happened to me and I was in pain.” Moss said Depp immediately ran to her side and “carried me to my room and got me medical attention.” When directly asked if Depp was the cause of the her fall, Moss clearly stated: “No. He never pushed me, kicked me, or threw me down any stairs.” Moss testified for less than five minutes and was not cross-examined. Moss was called to the stand after Heard made a passing reference to the model and a rumor that Depp pushed her … [Read more...] about Kate Moss Says Johnny Depp ‘Never Pushed’ Her Down Stairs During Amber Heard Trial

Michael Moore Tells MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, “It’s Time To Repeal The Second Amendment”
“Who will say on this network or any other network in the next few days, ‘It’s time to repeal the Second Amendment ’?” Michael Moore asked MSNBC host Chris Hayes today. “Oh, you can’t say that,” he imagined Americans replying. “Well why not?” asked Moore. The Oscar-winning Bowling for Columbine filmmaker posed the question as the nation was still reeling from the school massacre in Uvalde, Texas yesterday in which 19 children and two adults were killed. “Look, I support all gun control legislation. Not sensible gun control. We don’t need the sensible stuff. We need the hardcore stuff that’s going to protect ourselves and our children,” he said. “We won’t acknowledge that we are a violent people to begin with. This country was birthed in violence with the genocide of the native people at the barrel of a gun. This country was built on the back of slaves with a gun to their back…We do not want to acknowledge our two original sins here that have a gun behind … [Read more...] about Michael Moore Tells MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, “It’s Time To Repeal The Second Amendment”
