Paramount+ Programming: The TV Shows & Films That Will Stream On ViacomCBS Service

ViacomCBS spent the afternoon unveiling details about Paramount+, its rebranded streame r that will launch May 4, and now here is a roundup of the television series and feature films that will be available on the service. Paramount+ will feature a content catalog of more than 30,000 episodes, 2,500 movie titles and 1,000-plus live sporting events and news coverage. More than 50 new series across multiple genres will bow during the next two years on the streamer, which promises 7,000 episodes of kids content, 5,000 of reality and 6,000 of comedy. A number of theatrical movies will hit Par+ after a 45-day theatrical window , including Mission: Impossible 7, A Quiet Place Part II and PAW Patrol: The Movie. In Latest Sign Of NY Movie Exhibition Life, Queens Drive-In Books 2021 Encore, Kicking Off With ‘Coming 2 America’

The Queens Drive-In , which became a lifeline for New York film distributors, festival organizers, awards campaigners and cooped-up cinephiles in 2020, has booked an encore for this spring. Kicking off the 2021 slate will be a screening of Coming 2 America on March 5, the same day the Eddie Murphy sequel will start streaming for Amazon Prime subscribers. The event is free and open to the public with RSVP, and Amazon Studios will provide free food and merchandise. Screenings at the venue, which can accommodate up to 200 cars, are slated to continue through June. The drive-in news follows word from New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo earlier this week that indoor movie theaters can reopen in the city on March 5, with limited capacity. The coronavirus pandemic has kept theaters shuttered for nearly a year. ‘The Twilight Zone’ Reboot Not Returning For Season 3 On Paramount+

The second season of the reboot of The Twilight Zone was submitted for your approval, to borrow the famous phrase of original sci-fi creator Rod Serling. Apparently, there wasn’t enough approval, as sources have confirmed to Deadline that the CBS All Access show won’t continue on Paramount+ for a third season. The series’ end was revealed on Wednesday when The Twilight Zone was not listed among the CBS All Access series set to continue on the service as it transforms into Paramount+. Julie McNamara, executive VP and head of programming for Paramount+, praised the series as the network bids farewell. “ Jordan Peele , Simon Kinberg and the entire production team truly reimagined The Twilight Zone for the modern age. ‘Beavis and Butt-Head’ Revival Set At Comedy Central With 2-Season Order, Spinoffs & Specials Planned In Deal With Mike Judge

Beavis and Butt-Head are back, moving from a Gen X to Gen Z world and from MTV to Comedy Central . An expansive deal Comedy Central has inked with series creator Mike Judge and 3 Arts Entertainment calls for a reimagined version of MTV’s seminal, Gen X-defining adult animated sitcom Beavis and Butt-Head , which has received a two-season order, as well as additional spinoffs and specials. Under the pact, Judge will write, produce and provide voice-over for both famous characters in the revival with meta-themes relatable to both new and old fans – Gen X parents and their Gen Z kids. The deal with Judge is part of a major programming shift at Comedy Central toward ramping up adult animated content and building an original animated slate around South Park. ‘Yellowstone’ Spinoff, ‘Mayor Of Kingstown’, ‘Land Man’ Among Series On Taylor Sheridan’s Upcoming Slate For Paramount+

Paramount+ and MTV Entertainment Studios have unveiled the upcoming slate from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan for the rebranded streaming service. With 101 Studios to serve as production partner, the lineup includes Mayor of Kingstown , starring Jeremy Renner, Yellowstone spinoff 6666 (working title), Land Man and previously announced Yellowstone prequel Y: 1883. The new series fall under Sheridan’s recently signed overall deal with ViacomCBS and MTV Entertainment Group. Under that multi-year pact, Sheridan is set to create exclusive multi-platform content with MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, which includes five cycles per year of scripted and procedural series. Content will be exclusive to ViacomCBS including but not limited to Paramount Network, Paramount+, CBS and other VCBS brands and platforms.
