Who was Jill Dando? Jill, 37, was born November 9, 1961, and was an English journalist, television presenter, and newsreader. At the time of her death, she was the presenter of the BBC's Crimewatch. In 1997 Jill won BBC Personality of the Year. When was Jill murdered? On the morning of April 26, 1999, Jill left her fiance Alan Farthing's home in Chiswick. She returned alone, by car, to the house she owned in Fulham. But as Jill reached her front door at about 11:32am, she was shot once in the head. Her body was discovered about 14 minutes later by a neighbour. Jill was taken to the nearby Charing Cross Hospital where she was declared dead on arrival at 1:03pm. When Colorado Springs police decide to use their weapon, on average they hit their target about 40 percent of the time.Since 2013, police have fired 122 rounds at suspects during various encounters in the city. The California Department of Motor Vehicles and California Highway Patrol are alerting citizens to be aware of these upcoming changes to state law, effective Jan. 1. PLATES: No vehicle can be driven off car dealership lots without a temporary license plate affixed to it unless it already has issued plates. The intent of this new law is to reduce the number of toll violators and improve safety for law enforcement. GENDER: Individuals applying for a California driver license or identification card will be able to self-certify their chosen gender category of male, female or nonbinary in the application.
