EXCLUSIVE: The Woodstock Film Festival will give honorary awards to Ethan Hawke , Awkwafina , Leave No Trace director Debra Granik and IFC Films president Arianna Bocco this fall. The festival’s 23rd annual edition is set to run from September 28 to October 2. The awards ceremony, a consistent industry draw over the years given the fest’s location two hours north of New York City, is also set to feature appearances by actresses Amanda Seyfried and Vera Farmiga as well as filmmaker Marina Zenovich. Hawke is receiving Woodstock’s Maverick Award, which goes to “a leader and a visionary in the film and media arts who exhibits fierce and independent spirit, strong artistic vision, and the pursuit of positive change.” The four-time Oscar nominee is also a screenwriter, director, producer, and best-selling novelist. Melbourne, (ANI): Britney Spears" newly recorded material nearly missed devastation when a fire broke out at her producer's Los Angeles studio. Superstar producer Rusko - whose real name is Christopher Mercer - was able to salvage the recordings after his home studio caught fire when a car parked in his garage exploded, according to World Entertainment News Network. "Thank God I grabbed my hard drives," News.com.au quoted Rusko as tweeting. "We're all safe thank the lord," the English producer added. The singer's agent, Adam Leber, recently tweeted about the progress of Spears' upcoming album. "Brit is recording a big big BIG new song on Friday with MaxMartin & TheDrLuke. Courtesy of MLB A spin down the famous slide at American Family Field on Wednesday ended up in a trip to the emergency room for Dodgers reporter David Vassegh ... who ended up breaking several bones in his body on the ride at the Brewers' ballpark. The mishap happened just before L.A. took on Milwaukee at the stadium in Wisconsin. Vassegh was gunnin' to check an item off his bucket list by finally going down Bernie's Chalet in center field -- but things went terribly wrong for the journalist when he came to a stop on the ride.
