The long-delayed seventh entry in the Mission: Impossible action film series is just out of reach in its first official teaser trailer. Dead Reckoning Part One is set for release on July 14, 2023 as the first of two sequels following up Fallout , the latest installment released back in 2018. Dead Reckoning places Tom Cruise ’s Ethan Hunt at the center of a power-hungry fight for control. “Your days of fighting for the so-called greater good are over,” Henry Czerny’s Eugene Kittridge tells him. “This is our chance to control the truth – the concepts of right and wrong for everyone for centuries to come. EXCLUSIVE: Bong Joon Ho’s follow-up film to his Oscar-winning Parasite is gaining quite the ensemble, as sources tell Deadline that Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo (whose deals are in final negotiations), along with Naomi Ackie , are joining Robert Pattinson in Bong’s next feature at Warner Bros . The untitled film is based on the novel Mickey7 by Edward Ashton. Bong will write, direct and produce for his production company Offscreen, alongside Kate Street Picture Company’s Dooho Choi and Plan B’s Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner, as part of the latter’s overall deal with Warner Bros. The film reteams Bong and Choi with Brad Pitt’s Plan B following their successful collaboration on the director’s 2017 film Okja . Desmascus , picked up in February as part of AMC’s straight-to-series development model, is executive produced by former Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul EP Mark Johnson, via his Gran Via Productions banner.
