Surprise! We're getting a brand new Alien video game this summer. Cold Iron Studios and 20th Century Games have revealed the first trailer for Aliens: Fireteam . The game will put players in the shoes of a Colonial Marine as they take on Xenomorphs and other extraterrestrial threats with a team of soldiers. The video game trailer is action-packed. This is far more James Cameron's than it is Ridley Scott's original Alien. Instead of slow-build tension and jump scares, this is all-out war against the deadly creatures. We got a great feel for what the game is going to look like and how it is going to put players right in the middle of the action. This week, Lola's new look was unveiled in a sneak peek at Space Jam 2 , which teams LeBron James with the most popular Looney Tunes characters. On social media, many fans had observed that the cartoon bunny now has an appearance that's much more family-friendly than the version featured in the original Space Jam . In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly , Malcolm D. Lee opened up on why these changes to Lola Bunny were necessary. The decision came after watching the original Space Jam for the first time in 2019, and at the time, Lee felt flummoxed as to why the character was so "sexualized." ‘Forrest Gump’ Cited As Reason To Release ‘QAnon Shaman’ From Custody
A federal courtroom is a lot like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get. That was never truer than Friday, when the attorney representing Jacob Chansley, aka Jake Angeli, better known as the “ QAnon Shaman ,” used the fictional film Forrest Gump in his argument before a federal judge. The QAnon Shaman faces felony charges of interfering with police during a civil disorder and obstruction of Congress, as well as several misdemeanor counts. He was arrested in Arizona on Jan. 9 and has been in custody since.Chansley, who has been in custody since his arrest, has argued that he was allowed into the Capitol building by police. His bare-chested and behorned fur hat were widely publicized as a symbol of the Jan. 6 insurrection. Disney’s Merlin Saga Targets Director Ridley Scott
According to reports, Disney is in negotiation with Ridley Scott to helm The Merlin Saga along with his production company, Scott Free. It is believed that the Merlin Saga will be Scott's next project, but nothing has been officially confirmed by Disney or Ridley Scott. All the Money in the World as well as Alien: Covenant were both directed by Scott in 2017 and All the Money in the World is seeing quite a bit of acclaim, even after removing Kevin Spacey from the project and replacing him with Christopher Plummer at the absolute last minute. Variety reports that Ridley Scott and Disney are in negotiations for the director to helm the Merlin Saga , which Academy Award winning screenwriter Philippa Boyens wrote the script for, based off of T.A. Barron's books. Boyens is best known for working with Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh on all six Middle-earth films as well as on King Kong and The Lovely Bones .
