Beach Boys Mike Love , Al Jardine , Bruce Johnston, and David Marks have come together to re-record the band’s 1970 classic “Add Some Music to Your Day.” It’s the lead-off single of the new LP California Presents Add Some Music , which arrives on April 23rd. The album is the brainchild of David Beard, the editor and publisher of the long-running Beach Boys fanzine Endless Summer Quarterly. He brought the various factions of the Beach Boys, minus Brian Wilson, back together for the new version of “Add Some Music to Your Day,” which also includes contributions from Brian Wilson’s daughters Wendy and Carnie Wilson; Al Jardine’s son Matt Jardine; and Mike Love’s children Christian, Hayleigh, and Ambha Love. It was produced by Rob Bonfiglio, who is married to Carnie Wilson and plays guitar in Brian Wilson’s touring band. Lionsgate Teams With Sony In New Multi-Year Home Entertainment Pact
Lionsgate and Sony have made a multi-year agreement in which the latter will handle distribution of the former’s physical home entertainment releases in the U.S. and Canada. While many major studios have collapsed their marketing and distribution ops to focus jointly on theatrical and streaming releases, what is simply going on here is that Lionsgate is getting a new home entertainment distribution partner. Lionsgate use to distribute their DVDs, etc through 20th Century Fox. Following Fox’s acquisition by Disney, that deal will lapse in July, and the new one with Sony will commence. Similar to their deal with Fox, Lionsgate will continue to maintain its own independent sales and marketing teams while leveraging Sony’s supply chain and distribution services. NBCUniversal News Group Chairman Cesar Conde Sets Goal Of 50% Diverse Workforce
Cesar Conde , the new chairman of NBCUniversal News Group, outlined a workforce goal of 50% diversity on Tuesday, telling employees that as “a news organization we have a unique responsibility to reflect the country and all of the communities we serve.” “The NBCUniversal News Group is not going to wait for change to happen and just react to it. We’re going to lead,” he said in a video to employees on Tuesday. “As a news organization, we have a unique responsibility to look like and reflect all of the people of the country we serve.” He said that the goal is for 50% of the news organization employees to be women and 50% of their total workforce be people of color, with plans to boost recruitment and education programs and to invest in more documentaries and investigative content focusing on communities of color. The 50% goal is long term, with no exact date set to reach it, but he said that progress would be reported publicly every year. Jeepers Creepers: Reborn Is Coming in Fall 2021 to Kick Off a New Trilogy
A new Jeepers Creepers movie is on the way. Screen Media has acquired the rights to Jeepers Creepers: Reborn , which will serve as the fourth entry in the creature feature franchise. What's more, this is said to be the first entry in a new planned trilogy of movies involving The Creeper. According to a new report, Jeepers Creepers: Reborn will be distributed worldwide by Screen Media. No firm release date has been set but a fall 2021 release is currently anticipated. The movie has already been filmed, with production taking place in December and January. Production took place in Louisiana. A synopsis has also been released, which reads as follows.
