Leaders Of DGA, SAG-AFTRA & IATSE Urge Congress To Pass $1.9 Trillion American Rescue Plan

Leaders of the DGA , SAG-AFTRA and IATSE have sent a letter to congressional leaders urging them to work with President Joe Biden to pass the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act, saying that it will provide “much-needed relief for the current crisis and address long-standing vulnerabilities in our economy.” The House Rules Committee held a virtual meeting today to consider the relief package. Signed by DGA national executive director Russell Hollander, SAG-AFTRA national executive director David White and IATSE international president Matthew Loeb, the letter was sent on Wednesday to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy. Telluride Film Festival Sets 2021 Dates, Plans In-Person Event For Late Summer

The dates are set for the 2021 Telluride Film Festival . But there’s more news than just the September 2-6 run, which expands from three days to four: Organizers are hoping to hold an in-person event in the Colorado resort town. The hope is that the Covid-19 vaccination process will be far enough along by then and that, by taking all necessary safety precautions including the extra day, the fest won’t have to be virtual. Last year’s event was canceled . “Our position within the festival calendar gives us hope that we will be able to hold the festival this year,” Telluride executive director Julie Huntsinger said. “We are guided by science and are continuously evaluating the global pandemic in relation to health, travel and live events. After being introduced in 2013's Man of Steel , Henry Cavill returns as Superman in next year's highly-anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice , which the actor revealed over the weekend will make "cinematic history." During another interview with The Anglophile Channel , Henry Cavill was asked how many more times he would like to play Superman on the big screen. Here's what he had to say below. M ike Love bounds up the stairs inside his massive Lake Tahoe home (10 bedrooms in all, 12 bathrooms, two elevators, not to be believed) and into a large walk-in closet stuffed to overflowing with garish, multicolored shirts and a gazillion baseball caps, many of them emblazoned with the name of his band, the Beach Boys . Fantastic Beasts 3 Filming Pauses Again After Crew Member Tests Positive for Covid

Warner Bros. has been forced to pause filming on upcoming wizarding world sequel Fantastic Beasts 3 after a crew member tested positive for COVID-19. Filming has been underway in the United Kingdom, and in keeping with the new health and safety regulations that are now in place, production will likely have to be shut down for at least two weeks. The positive test result was discovered as part of routine safety protocols, and the crew member is now in isolation. "A team member from Fantastic Beasts 3 has tested positive for COVID-19 ," a Warner Bros. spokesperson has said in a statement. "The diagnosis was confirmed as a result of required and ongoing testing that all production employees receive, and the team member is currently in isolation. Out of an abundance of caution, 'Fantastic Beasts 3' paused production and will be back up in accordance with safety guidelines."
