EXCLUSIVE : Candle Media -backed Spanish-language powerhouse Exile Content Studio has promoted Nando Vila to succeed Daniel Eilemberg as Head of Studio. Vila moves up from his Head of Audio and Unscripted Television post and will oversee the Latin-focused outfit’s film and TV content strategy. He is a former Vice President of Programming at Fusion TV where he exec produced, created and hosted the likes of political sketch comedy show Happy Ending, while he also exec produced Emmy-nominated documentary The Naked Truth: Trumpland. EXCLUSIVE : Ryan Phillippe ( The Locksmith ) has signed on for a key role opposite Bella Thorne in Mitzi Peirone’s thriller Saint Clare , based on Don Roff’s hit novel Clare at 16 . Rebecca De Mornay ( Lucifer ), Frank Whaley ( Pulp Fiction ), Bart Johnson ( High School Musical ) and Dylan Flashner ( The Card Counter ) will co-star in the film, which Screen Media has slated for release in North American theaters in 2023. Lamont Dozier , who along with his songwriting and producing partners Brian and Eddie Holland was a pioneer and driving force of Detroit’s beloved “ Motown Sound” of the 1960s and ’70s, died Monday in Arizona. He was 81.
