Marvel Won’t Let Spider-Man Star Tom Holland Watch Black Widow Just Yet

· February 26, 2021 ·

The audience is waiting for Black Widow , Phase 4's original debutante; however constant delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic have extended the film's release. But looks like we aren't the only ones who have been deprived of the action-packed solo film led by Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff. Interestingly, Marvel execs have constantly denied Black Widow screening requests from Spider-man star Tom Holland. We do understand his craving though, as the film was supposed to release back in May 2020, and now has been moved not once but twice, currently scheduled to release on May 7, 2021. And still, given the situation, it's pretty unclear if Black Widow could make it to theatres in time; as Marvel would probably want a full house on its shows to cover up for the profit expectations. After debuting the track during his friend Álvarez’s trek to the ring, Balvin then released the single and its accompanying video to online platforms. As for the follow-up to 2020’s Colores , the album is almost done, Balvin confirmed to Rolling Stone over the phone from Miami on Thursday, adding that it will be coming “soon.” Balvin said it’s completely different from Colores , which was an audiovisual concept album inspired by colors and their different meanings. “This new album is all about me,” Balvin told Rolling Stone . “It’s the first time I’m going to talk about personal stuff. I’ve never done that before.” Despite the project’s highly personal nature, he says he’s still doing what he loves and what he’s good at: making hits and repping … [Read more...] about J Balvin Drops New Song ‘Ma’ G’ and Teases Next Album

Ta-Nehisi Coates to Pen New ‘Superman’ Film for DC Extended Universe

· February 27, 2021 ·

Author Ta-Nehisi Coates has been enlisted to write a new Superman film for DC Films and Warner Bros., with J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot also on board to produce. While the project is early in its development, Variety reports that Coates’ Superman movie — like the upcoming The Batman — would be more of a reboot of the Man of Steel franchise than a continuation of the current Superman storyline. “To be invited into the DC Extended Universe by Warner Bros., DC Films and Bad Robot is an honor,” Coates said in a statement. “I look forward to meaningfully adding to the legacy of America’s most iconic mythic hero.” Abrams added in a statement, “There is a new, powerful and moving Superman story yet to be told. We couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with the brilliant Mr. Coates to help bring that story to the big screen, and we’re beyond thankful to the team at Warner Bros. for the opportunity.” The National Book Award winner for Between the World and Me , Coates is … [Read more...] about Ta-Nehisi Coates to Pen New ‘Superman’ Film for DC Extended Universe

‘Justice League’s’ Ray Fisher Tweets Out New Complaint, WarnerMedia Immediately Responds

· February 27, 2021 ·

Actor Ray Fisher is back on the attack, accusing Warner Bros. via Twitter of trying to ingratiate itself by hiring black writer Ta-Nehisi Coates to write a new version of the Superman franchise with J.J. Abrams. The implication by Fisher, who played “Cyborg” in the Justice League film, is that his complaints were ignored, and the new Coates alliance is a way to paper over Fisher’s outrage. “Do ya’ll remember that time Walter Hamada and @wbpictures tried to destroy a Black man’s credibility, and publicly delegitimize a very serious investigation, with lies in the press?” Fisher tweeted. “But hey, Black Superman…” Fisher has been at-odds with Warner Bros. since last summer, alleging he was mistreated by Joss Whedon on the set of Justice League. The running battle has included shots at Walter Hamada, the president of DC Films. According to WarnerMedia , Hamada heard Fisher out, Warner Bros. investigated, and then had the investigation taken over by Warner … [Read more...] about ‘Justice League’s’ Ray Fisher Tweets Out New Complaint, WarnerMedia Immediately Responds
