Athina Rachel Tsangari: Athina Rachel Tsangari’s Attenberg premiered at the 2010 Venice Film Festival where it won the Coppa Volpi Award for Best Actress (Ariane Labed) and was showcased as a Spotlight film at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. In 2012 her short horror film The Capsule premiered at the Festival del film Locarno and played at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. Her latest feature, Chevalier (2015), won Best Film at the BFI London Film Festival and was nominated for Best International Film at the Film Independent Spirit Awards. Both Attenberg and Chevalier were chosen as Greece’s submissions to the Academy Awards. For the last ten years, Tsangari has operated Haos Film, a filmmaker-run production studio based in Athens, Greece.
