EXCLUSIVE: The Black List and Women in Film said Monday that they have set the participants for their 2023 Episodic Lab, with seven television pilots from eight writers selected. Now in its seventh year, the lab focuses on preparing women writers and writers of underrepresented genders for careers in writing for TV. More than 40 scribes have participated since its launch in 2016, with the organizations saying half currently have jobs in the industry. This year’s list features Bev Chukwu, Deanna Esposito, Eudie Pak, Laura Malatos & Helen Sun, Katherine Ruppe, Lorin Williams and Thea Rodgers. The lab, supported by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and Shivhans Pictures, meets twice a week in March for sessions that include masterclasses, pitch workshops and lectures from guest mentors. TRP this week: BARC TRP Ratings for week 10 of 2023 have been finally released. Thursday (March 16) didn't bring cheer for a lot of shows as they suffered a drop in numbers. While Anupamaa and Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin continued to dominate the TRP charts, shows likes Naagin 6, Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal suffered a massive fall in the current week. STAR PLUS, COLORS & OTHER CHANNELS RANKING While Star Plus raced ahead in the TRP race, Colors channel witnessed another huge drop in the viewership. The Viacom 18-owned GEC saw a decrease in the ratings of shows like Naagin 6, Dharam Patnii, Udaariyaan and Molkki 2. Belorussian directors Alexander Mihalkovich and Hanna Badziaka accepted the Dox:Award honor at a ceremony at the Kunsthal Charlottenborg in the Danish capital. Jurors praised Motherland as “a cinematic and meaningful film that took its time unfolding the complexity of living within an oppressive and unjust system. It poses questions about the idea of an individual choice within a cornered society. The Mandalorian shot back onto Nielsen ’s U.S. streaming charts during the week of the Season 3 premiere. The Disney+ series tallied 823M viewing minutes from February 27 to March 5, coming in at No. 5 among streaming programs. According to Nielsen, the first episode from Season 3 generated 57% of that total, despite only being 42 minutes long. The Star Wars spinoff series is no stranger to the Nielsen streaming Top 10, having previously made history as both the first Disney+ show to make the list and the first non-Netflix show to hit No. 1 . The debut week for Season 2 saw over a billion viewing minutes across nine episodes, so while Season 3’s number is still impressive, it is a dip from the previous installment.
