LANG: I do thing it’s one of the best picture books out there. Like, I genuinely love it. I love the language, but also the theme is just so beautiful. It has this environmental message that is not too strong or too negative. It’s just really positive and encouraging, and it’s so relatable—this little snail who goes out and wants to see the world, and gets overwhelmed. The more she knows, the more she realizes how tiny she is, and how overwhelming it all is, and it’s so much about that. Democrats’ Choice: End the Filibuster or Watch McConnell Win (Again)
You look at McConnell using his narrow 2017-2018 Senate majority to jam through tax cuts and reorder the judiciary, and you can see why a lot of people — even people who disapprove of his aims — credit him as being a “master strategist.” But is he a tactical genius? This didn’t exactly get you in the mindset to rock, but the mission was clear. Most tickets were free, with fans earning them by sharing information about extreme … [Read more...] about Neil Young, Black Keys and Foo Fighters Rock the Global Citizen Festival
