TMZ.com UPDATE 10:17 AM PT -- Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies says Alec Baldwin is being charged as both an actor and a producer on the movie ... she says he pulled the trigger as the actor, and had a duty to make sure the set was safe as a producer. UPDATE UPDATE The D.A. says Alec definitely pulled the trigger, despite what he says, because she trusts the FBI's analysis ... and she says one of the reasons the investigation took so long was because prosecutors were waiting to see what the FBI concluded about the gun. Little Richard left this mortal coil in 2020, but tonight the architect of rock’n’roll is coming to shake up the Sundance Film Festival. Directed by Park City vet Lisa Cortés, Little Richard: I Am Everything premieres at 9 PM MST at the Library Center Theatre as one of the Robert Redford founded fest’s opening night films. Commissioned last year by the now shrinking CNN Films , the 98-minute documentary sees the Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning producer take on a new role as solo director. “I remember when I was pitching this film to sell it, what was so interesting for me is it wasn’t a three-act structure, but it was this pendulum,” Cortés says of the probing project that is the U.S. Documentary competition category. “It was this push-pull throughout his life that he had to navigate, and it led to so much complexity. Prime Video today announced that it will produce a live-action film based on the manga franchise The Silent Service , which will be distributed theatrically by Toho on September 29. The pic will be the first time Prime Video has produced a Japanese Amazon Original Movie. The Silent Service is a popular manga series written and illustrated by artist Kaiji Kawaguchi. The series was published in Kodansha’s Weekly Morning manga magazine from 1988 to 1996 and sold a total of 32 million copies. The story, set in Japan ’s first nuclear submarine, depicts the unpredictable actions of its captain, Shiro Kaieda, as he attempts to realize his ideal world, the company has said. Actor Takao Osawa, who played Wang Qi in the Kingdom movie series, will take the role of Shiro Kaieda. The Silent Service is produced by CREDEUS, Inc, which produced the Kingdom film series and the Gintama film series.
