TMZSports.com LeBron James and Kyrie Irving were one of the greatest 1-2 punches in NBA history -- so says NBA vet Tristan Thompson ... who tells TMZ Sports he has nothing but praise for his old teammates. TT's comments come after Irving recently admitted on the "I AM ATHLETE" podcast that he and LeBron would have won more championships together if he had been more mature. Of course, that admission has to sting a little bit for Thompson (hey, at least he got one off the Warriors!!) ... but he explained to us Bron and Kyrie will always hold a special place in his heart after what they accomplished in 2016. "I win a 'ship with somebody, they're always my favorite," Thompson said. Tristan knows firsthand what the two guys are capable of -- he was a part of the Cavaliers team led by James and Irving that erased a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals to beat the Golden State Warriors ... and was a key role player in the series. Before the breakup, LBJ and … [Read more...] about Tristan Thompson Says LeBron And Kyrie Are One Of Greatest Duos Ever

Dick Wolf And Warren Littlefield Remember The Night The Crossover Event Was Born — Deadline Disruptors
The top scripted series on each of the Big 4 broadcast networks — Grey’s Anatomy (ABC), FBI (CBS), Chicago Fire (NBC) and 9-1-1 (Fox) — all have something in common: They are the motherships of drama franchises that stage frequent crossovers. Building integrated universes consisting of multiple series, whose characters move seamlessly from one show to another, has become a broadcast staple and arguably the most successful storytelling formula on network television over the past decade that continues to draw viewers amid dwindling linear ratings. Involved in its inception were two top TV showrunners, Law & Order creator and executive producer Dick Wolf and Oz creator and executive producer Tom Fontana , as well as former NBC Entertainment president … [Read more...] about Dick Wolf And Warren Littlefield Remember The Night The Crossover Event Was Born — Deadline Disruptors
Marvel’s ‘Howard The Duck’, ‘Tigra & Dazzler’ Animated Series Scrapped At Hulu

Tigra & Dazzler had been searching for a new showrunner and writers after parting ways with showrunner Erica Rivinoja due to creative differences. But as of two weeks ago, Hulu brass were still expecting to proceed with the four Marvel animated series as well as Helstrom (the Disney-controlled streamer had previously opted not to proceed with the proposed live-action Ghost Rider series over creative differences.) The decision to scrap Howard the … [Read more...] about Marvel’s ‘Howard The Duck’, ‘Tigra & Dazzler’ Animated Series Scrapped At Hulu

‘Hot and Passionate’: K-Pop Superstars Seventeen Open Up About Their New Album
To spot a member of Korean pop group Seventeen , you just need to look at their pinky. All 13 members wear a distinct ring on their little finger. Though it doesn’t carry the promise of the Jonas Brothers’ sort, it does symbolize a promise of unity, and an assurance to fans that they always have them in mind. The group was first gifted these rings when they made their 2015 debut, and have gotten new versions ahead of every full-length release since. Now, they wear the tradition’s fifth iteration — silver cut into what looks like two crossing waves , revealing a small diamond, the group’s symbol, in between — ahead of the release of “Darl+ing,” their newest single, from their forthcoming album in May. “Darl+ing” is the group’s first English-language single, and features many of Seventeen’s signature flourishes. Cannes Review: Lola Quivoron’s ‘Rodeo’
Rodeo , Lola Quivoron ’s vibrant and impressively funky fiction debut, ambitiously attempts to put a lot of heart into a gang movie that mutates quietly and organically into a heist thriller but doesn’t know quite how to fuse these strands into a satisfying finale. Though it promises all the elements of a cult crossover, and comes tantalizingly close to delivering, the Un Certain Regard title’s destination is most likely the festival circuit, where it will certainly stand out as a very different kind of rites-of-passage movie. Newcomer Julie Ledru stars as Julia, who lives on and off in social housing with her brother and mother. Julia’s relationship with her mother is fraught and on the brink of collapsing altogether; she has a job, but her attendance is sketchy. The only thing that she is passionate about is motocross, and since it’s a hobby she can’t afford, she poses as a buyer on Craigslist-style websites and hoodwinks the owners into letting her take a test drive. … [Read more...] about Cannes Review: Lola Quivoron’s ‘Rodeo’
