White House counselor Kellyanne Conway made a very odd and legalistic remark when CNN’s Chris Cuomo pointed out that Donald Trump and many of his associates have “lied about Russia-related matters.” During a lengthy and contentious interview on Tuesday night’s edition of CNN’s Cuomo Primetime, Conway took familiar pains to distance herself from the rest of the Trump campaign by noting that she was not among the Trump campaign officials who made contact with the Russians. But toward the very end of the interview, Cuomo interrupted Conway by noting “I’m saying it’s absolutely true that the president and others around him have lied about Russia-related matters, and I don’t know why.” “Not me!” Conway practically sang. “I have no exposure.” Conway has spent over two years pointing out that she, personally, never had contacts with the Russians, an effort which began long before the slew of indictments, and … [Read more...] about Chris Cuomo Says Trump and Co. CNN’s Chris Cuomo and White House counselor Kellyanne Conway faced off yet again tonight, this time going at it for 20 minutes over Andrew McCabe, President Donald Trump, and the Russia probe. Conway said that’s “hardly worth dignifying with a response” before blasting McCabe as a “known liar and leaker.” As she blasted McCabe, Cuomo asked, “Do you believe this president has more credibility than Andrew McCabe?” “Yes. Of course. It’s not even close,” Conway responded, before accusing McCabe of trying to “overthrow a democratically elected president.” They fought over the inspector general report on McCabe and the circumstances of his firing. Cuomo said McCabe isn’t the only one with credibility issues and Conway said she won’t engage in … [Read more...] about Kellyanne Conway and Chris Cuomo Clash for 20 Minutes Over McCabe, Trump, and Russia: ‘Where’s the Collusion?’
On Friday, it was revealed Sarah Sanders was interviewed in the Russia probe. Sanders is just the latest among those closest to President Donald Trump and associated with his campaign to be ranked among those known to have been interviewed by the Special Counsel. However, CNN National Security Analyst Juliette Kayyem made the point during a panel on Erin Burnett‘s show that one name is notably absent from the list of interviewees, at least so far. That name is White House counselor and former campaign manager Kellyanne Conway. “I find this list fascinating because obviously some of them are from the campaign, some of them crossed over,” Kayyem began. “But these are the names we know, right? You and I watching TV getting to know the team, the campaign, the White House. These are the names we know because these are the ones Trump has put before us.” She added: “So the fact that they’ve all been called in is incredibly telling about … [Read more...] about CNN National Security Analyst Asks: Why Do We ‘Never Hear About’ Kellyanne Conway in Mueller Developments?
