Julien Baker performed three songs off her recently released album Little Oblivions for CBS This Morning ’s latest “Saturday Sessions.” For the mini-concert, Baker and her backing band ran through “Hardline,” “Heatwave” and “Faith Healer,” the first three tracks on the Tennessee-based singer-songwriter’s third LP. While Baker utilizes a backing band for the “Saturday Sessions,” she performed every instrument on Little Oblivions herself; the album also shifted away from the guitar-and-vocals approach of her previous two LP. “I didn’t want to put out this vibe of, like, ‘I’m in a band now! I have a reason to have distortion on my pedal board!,’” Baker told Rolling Stone in October. “I mean, I am very happy to have a reason to have distortion on my pedal board. Michael Stanley, who parlayed rocker stardom in the ’70s and ’80s into successful stints in radio and television in his later years, died Friday of lung cancer at his home. He was 72 and his death was confirmed by his manager. Stanley’s rock career was solid in Ohio and the Midwest, but never quite broke through nationally, save for his hit song He Don’t Love You . He later was an afternoon drive DJ and Saturday mornings host playing classic rock on radio station 98.5 WNCX. He was at the station for more than 30 years, ending his stint just last month when ill health overtook him. He also won 11 local Emmy Awards as co-host of WJW Channel 8′s PM Magazine from 1987 to 1990, and then spent another year on the station’s Cleveland Tonight . This week, Lola's new look was unveiled in a sneak peek at Space Jam 2 , which teams LeBron James with the most popular Looney Tunes characters. On social media, many fans had observed that the cartoon bunny now has an appearance that's much more family-friendly than the version featured in the original Space Jam . In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly , Malcolm D. Lee opened up on why these changes to Lola Bunny were necessary. Federal law enforcement officials have uncovered contact between the Trump White House and a member of the far-right extremist organization, the Proud Boys , just days before the January 6 attack on the Capitol. According to a New York Times source, the FBI obtained “location, cellular and call record data revealed a call tying a Proud Boys member to the Trump White House.” Earlier this week, CNN reported that law enforcement officials are looking at communications data to determine “whether lawmakers wittingly or unwittingly helped the insurrectionists.” And so far they’ve found “indications of contact” between “alleged rioters discussing their associations with members of Congress.” On Thursday, a former Trump State Department aide, Federico Klein was arrested for taking part in the attack of the Capitol.
