The Super Mario Bros. animated movie has been confirmed for 2022. Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto is a producer on the highly anticipated project. In addition to the new Mario news, Nintendo has also revealed plans to extend their "visual content" over the next few years, which is giving fans hope for a project involving The Legend of Zelda . According to a new business report from Nintendo, the Super Mario animated movie's production is moving along "smoothly," and they're looking to expand. You can read a portion of the report below. New Line has put in the order for a Hello Kitty movie. Described as an animated/live-action hybrid, the movie will likely bring an animated version of the popular cartoon cat into the real world, similar to the new Tom and Jerry movie. Plot details are firmly under wraps at this time. Jennifer Coyle ( DC Super Hero Girls , Bob's Burgers ) and Leo Matsuda ( Inner Workings ) have been tapped to direct Hello Kitty . The screenplay comes from Known Universe's Lindsey Beer, who's also attached to co-write an upcoming female-led Fast & Furious spinoff alongside Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet. The upcoming Pokémon movie, I Choose You! , will reimagine the first season of the popular anime show, but it is most likley going to leave out two of Ash Ketchum's best friends. And fans are not pleased. The Pokemon anime series had its U.S. debut in 1998, and followed Ash on a Pokemon journey in the first episode as he is introduced to the reluctant Pikachu and tells the tale of their quest to find more Pokemon for battle. During the adventure, Pikachu finally warms up to Ash and they forge a friendship after an intense battle. But they weren't the only ones becoming fast friends. The first episode also introduces Ash to Misty, a Gym Leader who later travels along side Ash, Pikachu, and a new friend Brock, who is introduced later in the first season. Van Morrison unveiled a tender new blues ballad “Dark Night of the Soul,” from his upcoming album, Three Chords and the Truth , out October 25th. “Dark Night of the Soul” boasts a vintage mid-tempo groove of shuffling drums, silky guitar, rolling piano and the occasional keening organ. Morrison moves with nimble grace over these instrumentals, really showcasing his perennial vocal prowess during the final two minutes of the track, most of which he spends riffing on the titular refrain with an array of deft runs. Morrison wrote all the tracks on Three Chords and the Truth , save for “If We Wait for Mountains,” which he co-wrote with Don Black. The album also features a duet with the Righteous Brothers’ Bill Medley (“Fame Will Eat the Soul”) and contributions from guitarist Jay Berliner.
