Over a year after David Ellefson was dismissed from Megadeth following an online scandal involving sexually explicit text messages, the bassist spoke about his sudden departure in a new interview. “You find out who your friends are and you find out who your friends aren’t pretty fucking quick when the shit hits the fan,” Ellefson told Real Music With Gary Stuckey ( via Blabbermouth ). “‘Cause everybody wants to be around you when you’re picking up your Grammy.” He added, “Look, life is… You’re never on top all the time. The Weinstein Company has confirmed Deadline’s scoop about it forming a VOD venture and naming Tom Quinn and Jason Janego to run it. The deal will certainly focus attention on the emergence of VOD as a lifeline to movies that either don’t have the commercial premise or the starpower for a wide theatrical release. Former A$AP Mob member Terell Ephron, aka A$AP Relli, has come forward as the man A$AP Rocky allegedly shot last November, as Rolling Stone has learned that he plans to file a civil suit against his high school best friend. Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was arrested in April for assault with a deadly weapon over the alleged shooting , with police withholding the victim’s name. Mayers has not been charged, but heads to court on August 17 over the matter.
