A Justice Department search of President Joe Biden ’s Wilmington home resulted in the seizure of six items with classified markings, some of which were from his time in the Senate and some of which were from his tenure as vice president. In a statement, Biden’s personal attorney Bob Bauer said that the DOJ took possession of handwritten notes by Biden “for further review.” Bauer said that the Justice Department conducted the search on Friday from 9:45 AM to 10:30 PM and it “covered all working, living and storage spaces” in the home. A lawyer for President Joe Biden said that additional documents with classified markings were found at his Wilmington home, after previously saying that a single page was found in that room. Richard Sauber, a White House lawyer, said in a statement on Saturday that because he has a security clearance, he went to the Wilmington home on Thursday evening to secure a single document that was found a day earlier. “While I was transferring it to the DOJ official who accompanied me, five additional pages with classification markings were discovered among the material with it, for a total of six pages. President Joe Biden wants limits placed on concert ticket fees and TV and internet providers’ early termination charges, as the White House seizes on the practices as a sign of lack of competition in various business sectors. Biden will announce the proposals at a meeting of the President’s Competition Council on Wednesday. Also being highlighted is a Consumer Financial Protection Bureau rule to curb excessive credit card late fees, and a Department of Transportation rule to require airlines and booking sites to show the full price of an airline ticket upfront. Additional proposals would be part of a Junk Fee Prevention Act, legislation that targets an array of fees placed on consumers. A Justice Department search of Joe Biden ’s Reboboth Beach home did not turn up any documents with classified markings, according to the president’s personal attorney. The search on Wednesday was conducted “in coordination and cooperation” with Biden’s legal team, attorney Bob Bauer said in a statement. The search lasted from 8:30 AM ET to noon. While no documents with the classified markings were found, the DOJ “took for further review some materials and handwritten notes that appear to relate” to Biden’s time as vice president, Bauer said. Last month, the DOJ seized six items with classified markings from Biden’s Wilmington residence after a search there. President Joe Biden informed Congress today that he would be ending the dual states of emergency that were declared to help address the Covid pandemic, according to multiple sources . There are currently a public health emergency and a national emergency related to the virus, both of which were extended recently. The declarations will be lifted on May 11, reported the Washington Post, and reclassify Covid as an endemic threat. A senior administration official told the Post that the intervening period will allow government agencies and others to “begin the process of a smooth operational wind-down of the flexibilities enabled by the COVID-19 emergency declarations.” Former President Donald Trump initially declared the pandemic a national emergency in March 2020. An attorney representing Hunter Biden has fired off a legal threat to Tucker Carlson and Fox News , demanding a retraction for segments suggesting that Biden made nearly $50,000-a-month in housing rent payments to his father President Joe Biden .
