Endeavor Audio held its inaugural upfront tonight at the Neuehouse in New York to discuss its upcoming podcast slate. Among the projects are a fictional series produced by Dick Wolf, a docuseries from Adam Levine’s 222 Productions and a WWE-produced podcast with Corey Graves. Among the projects discussed were Hunted, a fiction series starring Parker Posey from Wolf Entertainment about the U.S. marshals dedicated to capturing the country’s most dangerous fugitives. The logline: When four convicts escape from a maximum-security prison, Deputy Marshal Emily Barnes (Posey) is called in to pursue them on one of the most treacherous and violent manhunts in U.S. history. Marvel Announces New Spider-Man Animated Series For Disney Junior Amid Rift With Sony Over Film Franchise
Well, this is awkward timing. During Marvel Animation & Family Entertainment’s panel at Disney’s D23 Expo on Friday evening, the company announced a new original preschool animated series for Disney Junior, Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends. Set to debut in 2021, it marks the first full-length Marvel series for Disney Junior. The news comes at the end of a tumultuous week for the Spider-Man live-action movie franchise. Supreme Court Sides with Baker Who Refused to Make Wedding Cake for Gay Couple
The U.S. Supreme Court just ruled in favor of the Colorado baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a same sex couple. The Court ruled "The laws and the Constitution can, and in some instances must, protect gay persons and gay couples in the exercise of their civil rights, but religious and philosophical objections to gay marriage are protected views in some instances protected forms of expression." The Court said the Colorado Civil Rights Commission had shown hostility toward the baker, based purely on his religious beliefs. The ruling wasn't even close -- 7 of the 9 justices sided with the baker. Justice Kennedy criticized a member of the public who lashed out at the baker during a hearing in Colorado.
