Watchmen’s Malin Ackerman And Jeffrey Dean Morgan Are Down To Reprise Their Roles
x Zack Snyder’s Watchmen is an interesting film. While it doesn’t hold together particularly well as a narrative, it’s full of striking images, is shot beautifully and contains several excellent performances. Obvious highlights are Jackie Earle Haley’s Rorschach, the opening credits and the incredible Dr. Manhattan origin scene, soundtracked to Philip Glass’ score from Koyaanisqatsi. Now, in a slightly confusing development, Malin Ackerman and Jeffrey Dean Morgan have indicated in an interview with CinemaBlend that they’d be up for returning to their roles as Silk Spectre and the Comedian: Malin Akerman: Yeah, all of the people that we worked with, we’re still friends. I mean, it was… we spent a lot of time together. If anyone will have me as Silk Spectre again, I will do it, sand the latex outfit. Maybe we go cotton this time. [Laughs] Morgan: I love playing The Comedian. I would never want to don the costume [again]. Watchmen Stars Malin Ackerman And Jeffrey Dean Morgan Would To Reprise Their Roles, On One Condition
18 minutes ago It has been almost a full decade since Zack Snyder's Watchmen debuted in theaters, and the film continues to stand out as one of the most singularly unique comic book adaptations ever committed to celluloid. The movie has earned a cult-like following that very much mirrors he cult-like following enjoyed by Alan Moore's original graphic novel, and it sounds like some of the actors from the film are very interested in returning to that universe, albeit with one major condition. In fact, Malin Ackerman and Jeffrey Dean Morgan spoke to CinemaBlend's Eric Eisenberg at the recent junket for Rampage in Los Angeles, and they both admitted they're game for more Watchmen as long as they don't have to wear those costumes again. Akerman and Morgan said: Unlike characters like Rorschach and Doctor Manhattan, The Comedian and Silk Spectre are two Watchmen characters who wear very intricate outfits with numerous moving parts. Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Comedian suit consists of bulky … [Read more...] about Watchmen Stars Malin Ackerman And Jeffrey Dean Morgan Would To Reprise Their Roles, On One Condition
Jeffrey Dean Morgan Says Watchmen Was Ahead Of Its Time
x Zack Snyder’s Watchmen has got to be one of the most divisive superhero movies ever made. For every person who thinks it bungled bringing Alan Moore’s seminal graphic novel to the big screen, there’s another who thinks Snyder did an amazing job. There are enough of the latter group for many to have called for more movies set in the Watchmen universe over the years, too – perhaps based off the Before Watchmen prequel comics. Unfortunately, though, no further films were ever made, and that’s certainly a shame. The visionary director’s take on the material may not have totally understood what Alan Moore was trying to say in his comic, and gave us too much distractingly gory action and one of the most absurd sex scenes ever committed to celluloid, but it wasn’t all bad. Jackie Earle Haley was an excellent Rorschach and the Koyaanisqatsi soundtracked Dr. Manhattan origin scene was pure brilliance. … [Read more...] about Jeffrey Dean Morgan Says Watchmen Was Ahead Of Its Time
