Oracene Massey and replaces the originally cast Karen LeBlanc, who exited due to scheduling conflicts, Deadline hears. Lt. Massey is Alex’s immediate superior at the Metro PD. NBC has picked up a fourth season of Good Girls , from creator Jenna Bans . Good Girls , whose third season was cut short by the coronavirus pandemic and resulting production shutdown, has done well ratings-wise. The series averaged a 0.9 rating in adults 18-49 and 3.4 million viewers overall in L+7 Nielsens, with the show’s Feb. 16 season premiere growing to a 3.3 rating in 18-49 and 7.8 million viewers with digital and linear viewing recorded to date. Digital 18-49 viewership also grew this season versus last by 50%, making it NBC’s #2 show this season on digital platforms. The second season of Swagger will debut on Apple TV + in June. The streamer announced the news Wednesday, along with a few first look images of the cast (one is above, and the others are at the bottom of this post). The images don’t give much away, showing a few moments with star Isaiah Hill’s character Jace Carson. One appears to be on the court after a game with O’Shea Jackson Jr.’s Ike, a former star player-turned-youth basketball coach. Another image appears to be a more tender interaction between Jace and Quvenzhané Wallis’ Crystal. Carl Lumbly (Supergirl, Doctor Sleep) , has joined the cast of Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and The Winter Soldier , the Disney + superhero series now filming in Atlanta and slated to premiere on the subscription streaming service in August. Lumbly recently had a recurring role as the father of J’onn J’onzz, aka the Martian Manhunter, on The CW series Supergirl. (It was a live-action role that called back to his earlier voice work portraying the Martian Manhunter himself on the well-regarded Justice League animated series.)
