Captain America: Civil War kicks off Marvel 's Phase Three next year, with a monstrous cast that features several returning cast members from Avengers: Age of Ultron , along with a slew of new characters. One of the new characters fans will be introduced to is Baron Zemo , who has been confirmed as the primary villain in this superhero adventure, played by Daniel Brühl . While promoting his new film Burnt , in theaters this weekend, Daniel Brühl made a surprising revelation during an interview with Business Insider , stating that his character does not wear the iconic purple mask from the comics. "He does not wear the mask. You would be surprised, it's different than what you'd think. It's loosely connected to this character. In just nine short days, Captain America: Civil War will hit theaters, kicking off Marvel Phase 3 with an explosive battle that splits the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe in half.
