Indian comedian and actress Mallika Dua has been one huge supporter of the ongoing #MeToo movement. She has come forward and voiced her opinion towards several allegations made against some of the most known personalities. Recently, filmmaker Nishita Jain accused Mallika's father Vinod Dua of sexual harassment. Within a short period since the accusation was made, Mallika Dua took to her Instagram handle to express her opinion on this and her response was shocking. In an elaborate post thats he shared, Mallika starts off saying 'IF at all my father is truly guilty of what you describes, it is unacceptable, traumatic and painful. SAG-AFTRA has launched a new digital platform that will allow members and third-party witnesses to report incidents of sexual harassment in the workplace, which will also allow the union to track repeat offenders. During a press conference today, the union also unveiled new standards for the training, registration and continuing education of intimacy coordinators who oversee sex scenes in films and TV shows. The union said that these two initiatives are the latest in its efforts to “change industry culture and eliminate harassment.” With the launch of SAG-AFTRA Safe Place, members and witnesses can file confidential reports of sexual harassment that will be handled by the union’s Equity & Inclusion team, who are trained in trauma awareness and will work with the user to determine the best course of action and provide additional resources. The Noel Clarke fallout continues at pace, with the Guardian reporting today that the actor has now been accused of sexual harassment by several women on the set of BBC flagship show Doctor Who. Clarke acted in the series as vehicle technician Mickey Smith from 2005 to 2010. The incidents detailed in the latest report range from inappropriate touching and sexual comments on set, to aggressive and bullying behavior after his advances were spurned. Clarke continues to strenuously deny all allegations of sexual misconduct or criminal wrongdoing, including from the new article via his lawyers, but has said he will seek professional help for his behavior.
