Paul Eisenstein Special to The Detroit News Published 1:22 PM EST Jan 14, 2019 Detroit — Nissan's Infiniti luxury brand hoped to debut its QX inspiration on Monday at the Detroit auto show, but it looked like it had a case of stage fright. The news conference to announce its unveiling started, but a mechanical problem with the vehicle prevented company officials from rolling it out to be seen by the international media. Despite the glitch Monday, Nissan’s Infiniti brand has a history of rolling out some exotic concept cars. But it also has a record of transforming them into striking production vehicles like the current QX50 crossover. Henry Payne The Detroit News Published 6:32 PM EST Jan 11, 2019 NBA basketball superstar Stephen Curry got the Detroit auto show reveals rolling from California on Friday with a sneak peak of the Infiniti QX Inspiration concept that will debut in Cobo Center Monday. The viral selfie — which the Golden State Warrior guard posted to his Facebook and Twitter pages — is an indication of how social media is changing auto shows. Automakers are increasingly debuting products way beyond the traditional show floor in order to get exclusive attention. Like Infiniti's assist to Curry and his 8.2 million Facebook followers and 13 million Twitter followers. "I got a nice little sneak peek of the QX Inspiration — they brought it in my driveway. ‘Avengers: Infinity War’: Concept Art Reveals Alternate Final Battle
Avengers: Infinity War. In it, we get to see many more of the Avengers in the final fight. What we see isn’t all that dissimilar from what happened in Iron Man’s fight with Thanos. The artwork in question shows Captain America, Hulk and Black Widow attempting to hold Thanos down and remove the Infinity Gauntlet before Thor delivers what he thinks is going to be the killing blow. Thanos then looks up and snaps his fingers, much to the horror of everyone around him. New Avengers: Infinity War concept art offers fans a glimpse at just how different the scene on Nidavellir nearly was. Avengers: Infinity War is a film that features a story spanning all across the galaxy, so there are quite a few different locations shown throughout. One of those locations is Nidavellir, the planet on which the Dwarves used to reside. Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Groot (Vin Diesel), and Rocket (Bradley Cooper) journey to the planet to forge a weapon called Stormbreaker, which is presumed to be strong enough to slay the Mad Titan Thanos (Josh Brolin).
