The automaker said Thursday that Tim Stone, 52, would replace Bob Shanks, 66, at the Dearborn automaker on June 1. Stone, who worked in finance at Amazon Inc. before becoming chief financial officer of Snap Inc., the company behind Snapchat and Bitmoji, will report directly to CEO Jim Hackett. His first day with Ford is April 15. Shanks will retire at the end of this year. In the meantime, he'll help with the transition, then work on special projects through the end of the year. He was 35. “I don’t have an official diagnosis,” she said by phone, adding that it was probably related to his addiction. A doctor called her to say Tristan had kidney failure and was under cardiac arrest, she said. A former engineer at Yahoo and Apple Inc., O’Tierney was hired to develop Square’s original mobile payment app in 2009 and stayed until 2013, when he left the San Francisco company co-founded by Twitter Inc.’s Chief Executive Officer Jack Dorsey. Based in Los Angeles, O’Tierney previously served as the director of mobile at Voteraide, a civic engagement network known as “the LinkedIn for politics,” and a freelance photographer, according to his LinkedIn page. Colorado Springs-based defense contractor Vectrus Inc. reported record 2018 revenue Tuesday as it awaits the Army's decision on a contract that generates 40 percent of its revenue.Revenue was up 14.8 percent from 2017 to $1.28 billion, helped by $350 million in new multiyear contract winsthat will generate revenue in some cases through 2027, the company said. Profits for the same period declined 40.7 percent to $35.3 million, or $3.10 a share, largely as a result of nearly $23 million in tax benefits from the tax cut enacted in late 2017.Fourth-quarter revenue rose 11.4 percent to $329.6 million, while profits fell more than 75 percent to $10.1 million, or 89 cents a share, also resulting from big gains last year from the tax cut."We reported strong fourth quarter and full-year 2018 financial results," Vectrus CEO Chuck Prow said Tuesday in a news release. The national movement, which was sparked in reaction to President Trump’s 2016 election, initially served as a voice for change, but has been tainted by anti-Semitic rhetoric spewed by Women’s March Inc. co-chairs Louis Farrakhan and Linda Sarsour, co-president Tamika Mallory and co-founder Carmen Perez.
