Star Wars: Episode IX. Star Wars Episode VII has just recently released on Blu-ray and digital HD. There is no doubt it was one of the biggest films of 2017. This had a lot to do with a solid cast of actors and the return of a fan favorite, as The Last Jedi saw Carrie Fisher once again take on the role of General Leia. The former princess show offs some serious force abilities and definitely proved why she was promoted to general. She seemed poised to have a large part to finish her character’s run in Episode IX. Sadly, Carrie Fisher passed away in December 2016, leaving her character’s future with Star Wars a mystery. Also read: ‘Star Wars’: Simon Pegg Says J. J. On any given day, there are no shortage of Star Wars rumors, and one of the most recent ones to surface was that Meryl Streep may be eyed to replace the late great Carrie Fisher in Star Wars 9. That has never been confirmed, but it hasn't stopped others from asking about it, and during a new interview to promote the home video release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Mark Hamill was asked about the possibility of re-casting another actress to step in and play Leia in Star Wars 9, and here's what he had to say in response. The Star Wars icon does bring up a good point, about how prominent Han Solo was in The Force Awakens and how prominent Luke Skywalker was in The Last Jedi, before both characters were ultimately killed off in those respective movies. There had been rumors after Carrie Fisher passed away in December 2016 at age 60, that there were still some big moments the actress had left to film, including a confrontation with her son, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), but those rumors were never … [Read more...] about Mark Hamill on Recasting Carrie Fisher in Star Wars 9: She’s Irreplaceable
1 week ago One of the two biggest questions heading in to Star Wars: The Last Jedi was "Who are Rey's parents?" We were all on the edge of our seat waiting for Rian Johnson to reveal the answer like Maury Povich opening the results of a paternity test. So it was understandable when some audiences felt a little deflated when Kylo Ren told Rey that her parents were nobodies. But in the time since The Last Jedi, many have speculated that Kylo Ren could have been lying and that J.J. Abrams could change Rey's parentage when he returns for Episode IX. Actor Simon Pegg has indicated that J.J. Abrams initially had something else in mind for Rey, as he explained: That certainly seems to indicate that J.J. Abrams had an answer to Rey's parentage that was not the one given by Rian Johnson in The Last Jedi. Simon Pegg jokes on MTV's Happy Sad Confused Podcast about Unkar Plutt being Rey's father, but he also says that Rey may have had a relevant lineage. Relevant means recognizable names, … [Read more...] about Could J.J. Abrams Change Rey’s Parentage In Episode IX?
The first clip from Deep Blue Sea 2 has arrived. It's been nearly 20 years since the original Deep Blue Sea arrived in theaters and, though it wasn't necessarily an enormous hit at the time, it's become something of a cult classic, and one that many have wanted to see a follow-up to. That wish has been granted, as the sequel is coming out in just a couple of weeks and now, you can get a new look at Deep Blue Sea 2 in this sneak peek, which shows off some of the sequel's highly-intelligent sharks in action. This clip showcases a couple of fisherman in a rather sad looking small boat in the middle of the ocean. Unfortunately for them, for unexplained reasons, the bio-engineered sharks that are supposed to be in a lab are out there coordinating an attack. The clip stops just shy of what looks to be some shark-on-human carnage, but we're guessing there's going to be blood on the water during this full scene in Deep Blue Sea 2. In Deep Blue Sea 2, shark conservationist Dr. Misty Calhoun … [Read more...] about Smart Sharks Attack in Deep Blue Sea 2 Preview
Although working and starring in together in the upcoming film A Quiet Place, married couple John Krasinski and Emily Blunt can’t keep quiet about each other, as they gushed about their relationship during their solo late-night visits (on different shows) on Tuesday. “I’ve always been the biggest fan of her, but not until you’re in the room when she does what she does do you know why she’s so phenomenal,” Krasinski, who wrote and directed their film told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show of working with Blunt for the first time. “She’s unbelievable. The most talented, powerful … kindest person. She makes everyone around her better. So honestly, that was my experience.” Krasinski described working with Blunt as “the best experience ever,” so because of that he’s now “retiring.” “Once I work with her, I’m done.” To further explain how lucky he feels to be married to Blunt, … [Read more...] about John Krasinski, Emily Blunt Gush About Working Together in ‘A Quiet Place’
