There has been a ton of new information released for Avengers: Infinity War over the past couple of weeks. As I've read through all of the interviews from the cast and crew, I've become convinced that Thanos will actually accomplish his mission of collecting all of the Infinity Stones and destroy half of the universe by the end of the film. Bare with me while I speculate away... In a previous interview with EW, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige was asked about the criticism that he's gotten about not really killing off Marvel characters in the MCU. When talking about Infinity War, he's asked if it will be for real this time, and he said: "Yes. I mean, I could always list off the characters that we’ve killed in our movies that haven’t come back, but the big ones, which I know they’re looking at …? [Pause.] I would just say, yes. People need to be careful what they wish for." I love that last comment, "people need to be careful what they wish for" because … [Read more...] about Do You Think Thanos Will Actually Destroy Half of the Universe in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR?

The story of John P. O'Neill was one that Jeff Daniels admittedly did not know. Similar to most of the audience who tuned into Hulu's The Looming Tower on Wednesday, the FBI legend who died in 9/11 was a new character to Daniels when he took the part. "His partner said he 'gulped' life, so I gulped life," Daniels tells The Hollywood Reporter of how he approached portraying the larger-than-life tragic figure. Without much public material to source from, Daniels met with O'Neill's former partners and mainly relied on the late agent's protege, former FBI agent Ali Soufan, a key person in bringing the story of The Looming Tower to the screen. O'Neill's pivotal role in the pursuit of Osama bin Laden has been meticulously told in the 2006 Pulitzer Prize-winning book of the same name by Lawrence Wright, who is an exec producer on the limited series. Wright came upon O'Neill's story when sifting through obituaries in the days after 9/11: After a 25-year career in the bureau, which … [Read more...] about Jeff Daniels on ‘Looming Tower’: “You Think You Know 9/11, But You Don’t”
You Get Me is your fairly stock, run of the mill revenge/scorned thriller. Set in the world of high school, the really interesting thing about this film is that You Get Me is a Netflix Original Film. Tyler (Taylor John Smith) breaks up with Alison (Halston Sage), despite being in love with her, because he believes she has a past that he just can't seem to reconcile. So he has a night to remember with Holly (Bella Thorne) only to remember (as most men do), that they actually love the person they're committed to. Alison and Tyler resume however, but, you guessed it, Holly isn't done with Tyler. Not by a long shot. What ensues is the classic Fatal Attraction set-up in which Tyler and Alison eventually find themselves both at odds with Holly. I could say more but you know how this whole thing ends up. Truthfully, you let me down a bit here, Netflix. Before we get into that let us focus on the positive. Director Brent Bonacorso and his Director of Photography Magadalena Gorka (Paranormal … [Read more...] about Netflix Original Movie Review: You Get Me Is a Waste of Talent and Time
