The owners of the nightclub where Chris Brown and Drake brawled last year are doing whatever they can to get out of paying Tony Parker for his injuries ... saying the two rappers should cut him a check if he wins his lawsuit ... and not them. Parker, an NBA star with the San Antonio Spurs, was one of several people who claim they were injured in the June 2012 melee that went down at W.i.P. and he filed a $20 million lawsuit against the club shortly thereafter. But the owners of W.i.P. (who are facing several lawsuits) filed docs last week in New York saying Parker's beef should be with Brown and Drake ... claiming they were the ones who "contributed to, instigated, participated and/or engaged" in the fight. The reality TV personality is now scheduled to get out on August 30, 2028, according to the inmate database of the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Shah’s representative has confirmed that the news is true with the following statement to Deadline : “I have spoken with my client Jen Shah over the phone this week – she is doing well and remains committed towards making her victims whole. She has initiated her payments towards restitution, and we hope to have her home as soon as possible so that she may resume life with her family and work, putting this chapter of her life behind her.” It’s not clear how Shah’s sentence was reduced but now the television personality will serve only 5.5 years behind bars instead of 6.5 years . As the WGA begins its second week of bargaining for a new contract with the AMPTP today, the guild is prepared for a strike, if it comes to that, though that’s by no means a foregone conclusion. The WGA’s current film and TV contract expires May 1. The WGA West’s most recent annual report shows that as of last March 31, it had amassed a strike fund of nearly $20 million, all of which has been set aside to provide loans or grants to members “adversely affected by a strike.” That’s more than double the $9.2 million it had set aside in a strike fund in advance of the 100-day strike of 2007-08, when more than $3 million in strike loans was distributed to members during and after the walkout. The WGA West’s constitution provides that two-thirds of its members’ dues shall be used for the guild’s general purposes, and that 80% of the remaining one-third shall be deposited in the Strike Fund.
